I would have loved to see James instead of Azpi in this one. Also, Willian for the 4th game in a row? In spite of the goal at Lille, he had an erratic game.

To be fair very little of the criticism here has been on any youth. Willian, Zouma and Alonso are the ones copping most of the shit today

At least he worked hard in this game. Ran himself to the ground pressing Brighton players. In his first few years here, it was a given that he would work like a horse and in last couple of years, that has dropped off. Hopefully, playing under Lampard and around these young players makes him rediscover his workrate even though he is older.

I think the minutes can be given at Chelsea itself instead of loaning him. Its Willian and Pedro for competition FFS. They can't keep getting away with sub-par performances when there is an option like Pulisic on the bench.

Yep i would rather see Mount in attacking positions really. Rather than the usual shitshow And throw CHO, Pulisic on into the mix in place of Willian

Not Pedro and Willian. Never together! Valencia at home was enough. Pulisic, Callum, Mount - enough options for the wide positions.

A little bit yes. Mane practically stopped tracking back to Azpi. But there was a sense of calmness with which they approached the task of scoring the goals. They were no longer trying to attack in a state of frenzy. Just wish Bats or Mount finished!

Mount is playing on merit. But this talk of a one-man team would not be taking place now if it was not for Pedro coming on. Pedro and Willian together in attack is a disaster.

At this point - not putting a foot wrong isn't enough. Need to press and hurry mistakes out of the opponent, create passing moves through the middle and not just go from side to side and stick a cross.
