Even on a free for one year its a gamble. Silva without the quality around him at PSG and at 36 is a hard pass.

But there is no need for Chelsea to hurry up is there? There is no competition for Havertz this summer and the club can surely take some time to get a better value on the deal now that they know Havertz is keen to move and is pushing Leverkusen to finish negotiations.

It is understood that suggestions of a deal for Chilwell being close are premature.
