  1. Pep investment first two years - Gundogan, Sane, Stones, Zinchenko, Jesus, Bravo, Nolito, B Silva, Ederson, Walker, Danilo, Mendy, Laporte. Klopp investment first two years - Wijnaldum, Mane, Matip, Karius, Salah, Robertson, Chamberlain, VVD (in Jan) Tuchel - Lukaku...
  2. No coincidence that Pulisic starts four games in a row as soon as American owners come in. We will have him as part of the front 3 next year whether we like it or not.
  3. Nizaar Kinsella's educated guesswork
  4. Nottingham Forest make the playoff final
  5. Insane season. Tonight's win with 9 changes - Fergie-esque
  6. Depends on the incomings. People have forgotten we signed Lukaku and Saul last summer.
  7. Should go for someone younger than Gundogan otherwise Jorgi, Kante, Gundogan will need replacing at around the same time.
  8. https://theathletic.com/3316000/2022/05/17/how-andreas-christensens-Chelsea-contract-talks-fell-apart-as-he-heads-for-barcelona-under-a-cloud/ The Athletic reporting on the negotiations that fell apart. Says Christensen was arguing for a reasonable raise, had second thoughts about a 5 year deal. -
  9. + Newcastle could make a play for 4th too.
  10. Importantly, 76 feels like an underachievement for the quality in the squad. With a normal pre-season and new signings, the ceiling is much higher next year.
  11. Well deserved. He's the glue holding the club together in the last two months
  12. haha I'm just glad there's no last game nerves this year. Can play the youth
  13. One good thing. Perisic is playing at a high level at wingback
  14. Unless it's a serious mental health issue, he can fuck off
  15. Agree. When he's out, the team is way more chaotic in midfield. Despite his lack of pace, he was instrumental in playing out of the back on Saturday vs Liverpool. Would keep him around even if we sign a mid.
  16. I don't know how James' communication skills within the squad is or his status in the locker room but from the outside it's clear he should be the future captain.
  17. Shootouts are always a lottery. Waking up this morning, you appreciate the fact that this Chelsea team went up and matched this Liverpool team across 4 games this season. Can't fault the effort last night. Liverpool are on their third 90+ points season in 4 years and have recruited well across the squad. We're squeezing the last out of Alonso (who did well), Azpi, had an injured midfield and clearly lack finishers. We got overrun at the start of the game but when the team actually settled down and started passing through the midfield, they were able to break the Liverpool pressing with ease. Some good performances from James, Jorginho and Silva. the work begins again now to try and catch Liverpool, City and for the first time in a long time, the manager's status is not in question. The last two months have been crazy for Tuchel so hope the man and his team can buckle down and focus on the recruitments, squad building over the summer.
  18. He has both Chris and Trevoh fit. Has to be Rudi Silva Chris/Trevoh
  19. This journalist has reported the whole takeover story meticulously
  20. Same. I've always liked him - workaholic even when he was a winger and a good older head to add to the squad with Rudiger and possibly Azpilicueta, Alonso departing. Just don't know if he's on the decline, is the right signing for a LWB position that requires mobile players.
  21. LWB backup. He's played wing-back this season for Inter
