I hope this deal goes through for PSG. In theory, they'd have to sell a couple of players to balance the books. I'd love to get Verratti or Rabiot. However, I'm concerned that after switching agents, it might pave the way for Verratti to Utd. That's no good.

In terms of squad role, yes, he'll get his minutes. But, we've lost Chalobah as well this window. 2 out, 1 in when we need more depth. Right now we've only got 4 CM.

I quite like Di Maria. If we could get him on the cheap, I think that he'd fit in well. Neymar isn't going to happen.

Anyone know what the add-ons are for this deal and the Lukaku deal? I know that Martial was an initial 30 odd M for Utd but his add-ons got to 50. The add-on were pretty simple, like 10 caps for France, # of appearances and stuff like that. One of them was 10 if he was a ballon d'or finalist or something else that isn't going to happen.

When he became the only game in town. Top club needs a striker. We're the only top club in that position. He and Belotti seem to be the only ones available (I don't believe Aubameyang was ever an option). Personally, from what I've seen, Belotti would seem to fit the system a bit better (work, work, work), but who know's what really going on there? I think he and Michy give us some flexibility in the squad. Morata, Hazard & Pedro on the counter will be deadly. I have to say, I'm not overly excited, especially at that price. But, better than a trolling Costa.

I think so too. We played it a lot more in the second half of last season. Cesc on for Pedro. There were a few times when we were getting a bit overrun and had to get the 3rd midfielder on. I expect to see it even more next year, as in from kick off sometimes.

The short terms are good for both parties. For Conte, he can leave if he doesn't get support. For the club, the payouts are smaller if we have to sack him. Keeps both parties on their toes.
