  1. Wait until July 1st when the Nike deal comes in to place.
  2. They know they aren't really good enough in the end. We don't really offer stupid wages anymore so sitting on the bench isn't as appealing as it used to be
  3. From BBC feed: Posted at13:33 Paris St-Germain have now signed Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the space of a few weeks. Arsenal may have targeted the only Monaco player in the squad (Thomas Lemar) who is going to stay!
  4. Okay. 10M less than OX, 100K (ish) less per week. Not terrible.
  5. He certainly can cross. Watching that video, I think: I wish we were getting Belotti
  6. So, I got in late, what happened with Llorente? I know he's off to Spurs, but did he reject us like Ox? Or did we not get a fee agreed with Swansea and Spurs did?
  7. It's baffling. We won't show interest until he's made the next jump and is wanted by the big teams, at which point we will have no chance.
  8. I woke up hoping to see some exciting names. Instead I see that we got beaten by Spurs to "done deal" Llorente. This whole window has been awful. A lot of talk, a lot of monitoring, but for al of that, we're in the same boat (if not worse). We have 1 for 1 replacements, some depth gone in CM (added at CB), net spend of about 20M? What was the point of it all?
  9. I'm sure he's paying for some of it, but it's going to be about 500M
  10. Can we just get the winter window open now. We had to play Pedro at WB last season, still have no back-ups. What happened with Telles? I really don't know anything about him, but he's left footed and breathes, so it's better than what we have. Ricardo Pereira's name comes up on the forum once in a while and in the young player to watch lists. Again, I know nothing about him really, but I'll take unknown over nobody/known-crap who we seem to be constantly linked with.
  11. This isn't just scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's gone right through.
  12. Sure. I get it, he doesn't have to sign a contract if he doesn't want to play here, knowing that he'll be a RWB. The reason I brought up Milner is because he thought he was going to play as a CM at Liverpool and it didn't work out that way. So, basing your decision on where a team says they are going to play you isn't always how it ends up working out.
  13. I thought Milner was generally played as a CM early in his career. He certainly had good spells at it with Villa and Newcastle. At City, his industry was used down the wing and they had a number of CM options by the time Milner left. I seemed to recall that's why he signed for Liverpool https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jul/13/james-milner-why-i-moved-to-liverpool
  14. If he's not willing to play or do whatever is necessary for the good of the team, then he's not needed here. He should maybe have a chat with James Milner a.k.a. the LB that joined Liverpool from City because he wanted to play in CM.
  15. GK seems to be the same as last year. Apparently quite good on the ball. Can't save anything.
  16. Usually they sign a new deal before going out on loan.
  17. They already have to be favourites. Adding Sanchez will seal it IMO.
  18. Bernardo to be a David Silva replacement, I think.
  19. Okay. I'll be the first to say that this transfer is unexciting. But, big picture, we've been wigging out about the board's activity and saying that we need upgrades and depth. Bakayoko + Drinkwater >> Matic + Chalobah (and I'm a fan of Nate).
