Sentimental? No way man. If the club were willing to use a 36 year old as one of their strikers then they certainly could have played Lampard also. and the main reason why he chose to play for City is because they owned a MLS cub too. This would sort out his short term as well as his long term future as a football player.
-
You misunderstood the Drogba reason. What I meant was if the club was willing to give Drogba a chance to play again as a squad player then they could have done the same with Lampard. I know we have many in midfield but surely we could've given him some game time in either the pivot or the number 10 role. As for the offers, I doubt he must have got any offer as good as City since they're in the Champions League.
-
Honestly we might never know but I highly doubt he would reject an extension because clearly he wanted to play another season in the premier league. According to me- We did not offer him an extension and he chose to go to the MLS but later changed his mind when he got to know about Drogba's return.
-
He's been tremendous for us but come to think of it, we always needed a player like him. Its a pity we could not sign Modric because he really would have improved our team back then.
-
I still believe we could have given him a one year extension. This whole City situation is happening because he wanted to play another year and we just did not offer him that. Say what you want but that is kind of messed up from our side as well. We could have really used him in the squad this season. He would have been the perfect squad player for us( same role he has at City.) Also I am sure it must have hurt him to see the club re-sign Drogba but not extend his contract. I would not say he took revenge but maybe just felt a little disrespected. Lampard and I think most of us here knew that he still had a season left in him and instead of sacrificing that away, he chose to continue playing. He could have gone to another league like Cole but perhaps a change of league was not worth it for him.

The whole Instagram scene was just to show everyone that the situation at Barcelona is really bad. Now the board will decide whether they want to stick with Messi or not and I am pretty sure that they will. Messi just wanted some added pressure on Enrique and wanted him to realise that he really is the boss at the club. Also, I don't think Messi would actually want a move here. Sure it would give him an escape route but the whole change in league, team, style etc would simply not be worth it.
-
Nah in todays market he's definitely worth more than 50m. Also since United are desperate they'll make sure that Madrid make a hefty profit from the sale.
-
United is the only club that can buy him for that insane amount and still comply with the FFP rules. I believe he should make the move because the guy is under appreciated by his own fans and they would rather take the big money and happily replace him with Reus.
-
Our kit looks so amazing!
-
I don't know about you guys but I feel Bale is massively underrated and unfairly criticised by his own fans. He's helped them win major trophies and yet does not get respected. If I were him, I would relish a move back to the premier league. I know it'll mean that he will join United but so be it. Real Madrid is just not the club for him.

Based on performance,Cech and Zouma deserve to start the next match.
-
you dream about Salah?
-
Messi would make one of the worst ex girlfriend. I mean come on! who follows a club to get some attention.
-
If the offer is serious then it'd be best to sell him. We can use Salah and Remy for the wings IF anything happens to Willian and Hazard. Its quite clear that Jose really doesn't rate Schurrle anymore. If nothing happen this month then I am sure he'll get sold in the summer.
-
He wants to win trophies and play CL football and since that won't happen at Liverpool, I guess he's willing to fight for his place.
-
This move is definitely happening. I mean why would he follow us at all? Its clear that this is some kind of a hint of wanting a move away and I can see us signing him.
-
explains why we went with Turkish Airlines. Very smart.
-
The following scene is a clear indication that he wishes to leave and is starting a bidding war between us and City. Totally not against this move at all but 200m just seems too much. 120 to 150m would be a fair deal.
-
If we sign him then I can see him be our third/second choice striker next season. He's 23 years old and so there is little chance of him being loaned out more than once. would be a good signing.
-
It was bound to happen but that does not mean our system or players are magically average now. Continue the same style but just rest players when really needed. I am sure Jose knows what do now. We all learn from our mistakes so there is nothing to worry about.
-
The only reason why his contract has been extended is because he's done extremely well for them in the short period of time. This only proves that we made a mistake of letting him go because clearly he's still top class and is content with a squad player role.
-
Mark was the one who suffered the most from the Cech-Courtouis debate. He did not play much for us but remained professional and enjoyed the minimal role that he had at the club. good luck to him.

MIND GAMES!

You all just want Gerrard just because Lampard left for City. Trust me Gerrard won't be the signing that we need and its better if let him remain a Liverpool legend.
