  1. Not happy that we're drawing too many matches but thought this might be interesting... Longest unbeaten run produced by each team this season. We've produced the third longest unbeaten streak, behind only the top 2 sides in Leicester and Spurs.
  2. You could argue that we're taking these league games now as some sort of tactical exercise to try out certain things in preparation for the cup games. At least then, we wouldn't be "ambushed" by uncertainties when those key cup ties come around. And for the record, the Top 4 may be gone but not the Top 6. We're only 9 points behind West Ham in sixth and that's hardly an insurmountable gap.
  3. Posted this in the post-Man United match thread. Think we need to have some sort of perspective of the situation. By just jumping the gun and criticize Hiddink's choice of starting XI, people forget that our team isn't exactly the most balanced one around and he's clearly trying to address the issue by playing 2 DMs in the pivot. It might not be the best of approaches but at least he's ensuring the XI isn't too vulnerable defensively or too gung-ho offensively. Another bigger issue which doesn't seem to get mentioned a lot is our tendency to start games slowly. We aren't drawing games or playing poorly because of the XI. This has been an issue in the squad for years now and our next manager needs to address it.
  4. A really bad time to lose him to injury with big games coming up in the Champions League and FA Cup. Can only hope that he doesn't end up like Essien but the good thing I guess is, he has time on his side to get back to his best.

  7. All goes back to what I said initially - we aren't starting games on the front foot. But this isn't just a problem under Hiddink. It's been an issue under previous managers as well. I mean, how many times have we heard Tony Gale talking about our slow starts on commentary?
  8. That was when Mourinho was still around. With the way things have gone this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he's changed his views. Didn't Juve spend something like 100m euros on Dybala, Mandzukic, Sandro etc last summer? Can't afford Oscar? Pffft! And it's not like Oscar is going to cost anything more than 35m (if we're pushing it). What does this have to do with how much I want Oscar to leave? Only looking at the fact that he's been incredibly average and if our next manager has any competency about him, he'll be sold. And if the club have any ambition of getting back to the top, then the dead woods need to be removed.
  9. Juventus...? You said the clubs haven't tried to sign players to replace Oscar. Same could be said about those other players you mentioned.
  10. Well, you can practically apply that logic on almost everyone else. So, I guess they will all stay then.
  11. I'm not so sure about that. If there's a decent offer from some European club for him, I don't think we'll hesitate to sell him because right now, Oscar falls under the 'Dead Wood' category.
  12. Most of our players aren't exactly on the verge of leaving either but some of them will likely get sold.
  13. More chances of him staying with Allegri around than with other manager.
  14. Costa in 2015/16 Premier League season: Under Mourinho - 3 goals in 14 matches Under Hiddink - 6 goals in 7 matches
  15. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was 'obsessed' with Pep Guardiola, says Oliver Kay
  16. John Terry needed to show a little bit more dignity... to make his contract situation so public is disappointing, says Martin Keown
  17. Took him like 3-4 months to finally end that goal drought. Vintage Torres.
  18. Hyper sensitive to suggestions? Your suggestion is fine but in your post, you clearly indicated how that post should be deleted because it's offensive, which in other words, it shouldn't continued to be seen by others. But you went ahead and quoted that post TWICE - when it's now few pages back and gone - thereby bringing it to the fore again.
  19. Never said we shouldn't hire them but they are clearly a risk if we do that. Tuchel and Sarri have done well but it's only one season so far and would you even have recommended them last season before they went to Dortmund and Napoli respectively? Schubert, on the other, has only done OK so far. Nothing of note to be shouting about.
  20. Has anyone realized that if we get Allegri, Oscar will probably remain with the club...?
  21. The irony of you moaning about how that post should be deleted and not seen by people but here you are, quoting and showing the glory of the post away.
  22. Because they do not have a proven track record yet.
