Don't want to sound greedy but reckon we still need another striker. Morata and Batshuayi only don't really feel me with great confidence.

Maybe but if he doesn't put in a proper shift in midfield, the top teams will likely still be smart enough to overload and overrun us in that area. Mourinho played Fabregas as the No.10 and ahead of two defensive midfielders on numerous occasions in the past and I don't recall us ever really bossing the opposition. Should get the business done first before even thinking of experimenting with different formations.

How many players do you think Conte will let to have a 'free ride' in the XI? Hazard pretty much already has a free role and I doubt Conte is going to allow another one and have only 8 players doing the work against the opposition. And Pirlo was able to play at a high level for as long as he did because the pace and intensity are much lower in Serie A than the Premier League. Do you really think he would have survived that long had he been playing in the Premier League? Also, it's all good saying we'll playing the 3-5-2 a lot next season but do we have the squad depth to do that? We currently only have 3 CMs - Fabregas, Kante and Bakayoko - and what if one of them gets injured or suspended? Matic is leaving. There's no hint of us using someone from the academy and even if we do that, the quality might not be there. And there's nothing suggesting that we're after another midfielder in the market.

Like I said, there's no need of overthinking. 'A bigger role' is basically just a loose way of saying more game time. I mean, we have more games next season and since Fabregas seems certain to stay, it'll be stupid of Conte not to use him more often than he did last season. And besides, Fabregas has never really shone when he played as a 'False 9' for Barcelona and Spain.
