Maybe but being at an international tournament hasn't stopped a team approaching a player's agent etc in the past, has it? Perez has always given the indication that he wants Neymar as god knows how many times he's spoken about him. Have not recalled him doing the same about Hazard. They didn't come for him when Zidane was still the manager. So, I'm not sure how keen they would be right now, even though Ronaldo has left. I'm not saying this with 100% confidence but think people have forgotten Hazard has also said he is willing to stay at the club. He issued the ultimatum back in May and it appears the club have listened and are signing an attacking manager along with a few quality players. If everything goes well this summer, then who's to say he won't stay and sign a new contract?

Even if we sell Morata, I just don't see the point of getting Higuain either. Sure, he has a good goalscoring record but like others have pointed out, he's turning 31 years old in December. Is it really wise to have two 30 y/o+ strikers in the team? They can easily go downhill in 1-2 years time and when that happens, we'll have to go buy ourselves another striker again and wouldn't be able to recoup much by selling them. As for Batshuayi, he's more of a poacher (even then, he needs several chances to score a goal) and he doesn't offer much outside the box.

All we have heard so far is Man City believing Jorginho want them and not us. If that's the case, then why not go back in and outbid us? Unless they do so, it will be a case of them just trying to save face, like what others have suggested.
