Guess the point is the club have been seemingly trying avoid mentioning Conte. I don't know exactly what was reported on Chelsea TV but I don't think they have mentioned on Conte in pre-season related news on the website.

One of those players who we're better off selling than constantly sending out on loan.

This is Chelsea FC we're talking about. They have already allowed this farce to run till July, one month away from the new season. Who can really confidently say they won't retain Conte?

I have given up on the club making any positive deals. We are one month away from the new season and the board are still fucking around!

Look, I can understand why Conte is still around because he has the contract and has every right to stay on until the club decide to pull the plug - which they definitely should have but unfortunately, they are being imbeciles about this - but on the other hand, why continue in the job when you know you are not going to be happy? Why continue when you are not going to be committed? You said he was dedicated to the club last season...I can't agree with that at all. He pretty much spent the whole of last season moaning every week and failed to take responsibility for the things that went wrong. He made us play worse and even detached himself from the players because he couldn't be arsed anymore. I know 9 million is a lot and maybe I'm just being simplistic about this but does he really want to put himself in the same situation again next season? The club may not always back the manager in the right way but it isn't going to do Conte's reputation any favors if he has another poor season with us.

Like others have said, he's still under contract and therefore, he's doing his job. Otherwise, he'll give the club an easy excuse to sack him.

All the talk about principle but at the end of the day, it still comes down to the big payoff, isn't it? Desperate...

I know there is a big payoff but like I said, is he really that desperate? Why continue to work at a place where you know you're not going to be happy?

I know Conte is still under contract and has the right the continue until he gets the sack but really though, he has never happy about how things are run at the club and has burnt some bridges with the players and I highly doubt that's going to change. So, why stay on and continue to torture yourself and everyone else, especially when we know he's just going to keep on moaning every week if he stays? Is he really that desperate to get the big payoff? How pathetic can he get?
