But if the Sarri deal really is off, then I would think there would be some sort of news about it but nothing so far. And I believe pre-season was meant to start this weekend/next week as opposed to the club having to pushed it back one week.

True but the report also stated that Conte told the players that he's still the manager and they must follow his orders. So, it's either something is going on OR the club are one in SHIT, HOT mess (which we are).

If what The Times reported the other day was correct, it means the players are following the club orders by reporting back on Saturday as opposed to Conte's, who wanted them back on Monday instead.

That Real Madrid official statement on Neymar means zilch really. They only denied making a bid for him. Could easily bid between now and end of August. Plus, the statement is just like any club publicly backing an under pressure manager, only to sack the fella weeks later.
