Not saying the interests aren't there for CHO from the Bundesliga clubs but it seems peculiar that only Sky Sports are busy reporting this with the bids etc. Don't think I've seen Matt Law etc report about this?

True but clean sheets are clean sheets and if you want to get all picky, then Courtois kept 1 clean sheet in 2 League Cup appearances, which is the same amount as Kepa and both played against Premier League oppositions. Courtois may have played in the Champions League but the quality of opponents weren't exactly proper UCL level with his only 2 clean sheets coming against Schalke and Sporting Lisbon. In the Premier League, Courtois ended 2014/15 with 13 clean sheets. Kepa's currently on 9 (only Alisson has more clean sheets than him after 20 games). Should be able to get at least 5 more in the remaining 18 games.

I haven't read through the matchday thread but from what I've seen on Twitter during the match. Some said he was excellent, some thought he was bad.

Safe to say the reactions to his performance yesterday have been polarizing.

It's stupid. People keep bashing him because he's not CHO or Hazard. How come no one talk Pulisic as Willian's replacement or even Pedro's? Both of their contracts are until June 2020. Pedro will be 32 next year, no guarantee we are gonna extend his contract again. Same applies for Willian, who turns 31 next year.

I share your frustration but to be fair, what players achieve or don't achieve at a young age doesn't dictate how their future is gonna turn out. For all we know, Pulisic might turn out to be an important player for us and CHO ends up playing in the Championship! In an ideal world, we would have both...

People do realize that we going after Pulisic is not because we are gonna (or might?) sell CHO, right? We have been interested in Pulisic for some time now. The interest hasn't just come from nowhere. Plus, they don't even play in the same position. If anything, it's Willian and Pedro that need to be sold or phased out for new, young players to take their place in the team.

Okay, I'll give you the one on ball retention but let's not act like we were hopeless in pressing, winning the ball back etc. We did those under Mourinho and Conte as well. And speaking of pressing, it's hardly been relentless, like say City or Liverpool, under Sarri. It's been minor so far and we still drop off without the ball like under Mourinho/Conte.

Rather face reality than sprinkle dust on things like they are okay. It's not like you don't moan about things either...
