Are you taking the piss? Which part of my posts did you not get? Yes, I know they want to get someone in on an interim basis so they can buy themselves time to evaluate their options for the summer. If they had gone for someone out of job, someone from within the club or who's coaching a national team, then sure, that's normal. But no, they went for someone who's in contract with another club until 2021, borrow him until May and then give him back. This has rarely happened? For a club of United's stature to be doing things like this is embarrassing, regardless of the reasoning.
-
Obviously but this is United we're talking about. Them signing a manager on loan is rather embarrassing.
-
Funniest thing about the appointment is United are actually borrowing - yes, borrowing - Solskjaer until the end of the season and then give him back to Molde. United - one of the biggest clubs in the world - have resorted to borrowing manager from others.
-
He got sacked after losing 2-1 at Leicester in 2015!
-
If Inter are willing to spend money, then it might be a destination for him. Overshadowed by Juventus, struggling to get back to the top level, last won a trophy in 2011. All set up nicely for Mourinho and his underdog/us against the world mentality.
-
Could say the same about Madrid too. Arguably the biggest club in the world, European champions, still have a team with good players and an owner who isn't afraid to spend big as well.
-
Yeah...so why would he go to United then? They are in a very similar mess.
-
If Pochettino didn't jump ship to Real earlier this year, he won't jump easily to United.
-
All this talk about Pochettino but United still have to get through Daniel Levy first. And Pochettino signed a new five-year contract back in May...
-
You forgot the treble at Inter?
-
HOLY SHIT!!!
-
To be fair, who could have foreseen Monaco's drastic drop in form this season? Anyway, he made his own choice. So...
-
At this point, what is even the point of Mourinho? He can't even organize defences anymore, which is something he's well known for, and he can't get results in the big games anymore (D2 L3 this season, conceding at least twice in each game), again something he's known for. He's like a man who's ran out of ideas.
-
Which other full back in the league is actually good? Hardly any other than Mendy. I'm not even sure why you seem to be taking offence over the original comment to begin with. You think Robertson is one of the best in the league, fine but he can't be one of the best around if he's not actually a solid player, is it? You're talking as if I've called Robertson shit or something. And if we are talking about someone like Van Aanholt, I'd say he's average or bad.
-
Wasn't it 36 shots rather than 34? Anyway, 3 of the bottom 5 who have gone to Anfield this season conceded way less shots than United... Southampton - 12 Cardiff - 19 Fulham - 21
-
Still pissed that we did not beat Liverpool back in September.
-
He's one of the best FB's in the Prem. A "solid player" is doing him a disservice. Says more about the lack of quality from the other sides at LB than anything else.
-
Emerson isn't great but he isn't as woeful as you're trying to paint him out to be. Again, how do you expect one to properly improve is just 6-7 games over 5 months? How can you properly judge a player based on just 6-7 games in 5 months? Considering he's made the matchday squad for the last two Premier League games, maybe he's gotten better in Sarri's eyes! Tomo, you have beaten that bush way too often. You think Emerson isn't good and that's fine but please, do not just assume everyone else thinks Emerson is only because they desperately want to see Alonso dropped. It's just lazy. Others may well see qualities in him that you do not. I don't think anyone believes Emerson is the long term answer for us at LB but right now, Alonso is certainly a problem for us in that position and there's nothing wrong with people wanting Sarri to look for solutions, find alternatives rather than persisting with a problem that's showing no signs of going away!
-
Robertson is a solid player but let's not exaggerate things here...
-
Yes but strange Mourinho said that when, for whatever reason, he didn't adjust his team to stop him...
-
You said Emerson is naive tactically but how is he going to become less naive, how is he going to improve if he is not given more consistent game? He has only been playing the cup games under Sarri and that is like only once or twice per month! He might not be the best LB around but it sure is better giving him a shot to see if he make can better fist of that position than Alonso. Players can improve their tactical ability but certainly not their pace. If Emerson turns out bad, then fine. But if he turns great, then what? You can say Alonso is better than Emerson tactically or whatever, but it doesn't hide the fact that all of those are almost redundant due to his severe lack of pace. Put someone with decent pace against him and we are in trouble and we have seen him getting exploited way too easily in recent times.
-
Well, I never said the process was going to be a smooth one... IF it's going to take few years to 'rebuild' ourselves for the better, then it might be a fun ride to experience...

We won trophies without him in the past and we will continue to win trophies without him in the future. He's a good player sure but we won't go bust without him. People continue to make us everything about Hazard is really BS! Hell, it might even be a blessing in disguise if he does leave because we might become more of a team rather than relying on a single player!
