Same amount as Mata to Hazard, and only ONE more than Oscar to Hazard. ๐ญ

This... Which says a lot about the mess right now.

CHILL OUT, LADS. THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW IS COMING. WE'LL BE SAVED!

This 'Manager X sees Player Y in training. So he knows better' argument is really getting tiresome and silly...

Let's be real here, Cahill does his best work in a defensive system, low block and everything. Asking him to play in a high line (and offensive team) is like when AVB used Terry in his high defensive line and we all know how that turned out. Besides, Arsenal only seem to be going after CBs because of their injury issues. Would Cahill even start there when everyone is fit? Doubt it. He's better off going to some mid-table club.

Had a knock in training apparently.

Christ! Aren't you people reading too much into a picture?

Eden Hazard FC strikes again! Not sure whether to laugh or cry. Big win, performance not great but could have won by a bigger margin. All that said, still saw the old problems and we didn't do anything different from past games.
-
Rudiger said we lacked the mentality and were idiots on Saturday and yet, he's played like an idiot so far today. All over the place and getting bullied way too easily.
-
Wasn't Sarri supposed to bring the pressing game to us? We're still sitting back when the opposition have the ball...
-
Imagine Cahill trying to play in a high line...

I don't buy this "he's not impressing in practice. hence why he's not playing" reason. Would like to believe these young players try their best to impress and play games in the first team. The bigger problem is that we keep hiring managers who do not have a good track record at developing/promoting young players. Mourinho, Conte and now Sarri, all without a history of trusting young players to do a job. They won't be perfect from the get-go but they will certainly get better with trust and experience. I mean they can't even give game time in the smaller cup games?! "That's the case everywhere"? I'm sure if we had gotten someone like Guardiola, Klopp, Pochettino or even Emery, we would have seen more young players feature in the first team. Guardiola and Emery may not use the youngsters in Premier League games but they have certainly not been afraid to play them in the lesser games in the Carabao Cup, for instance, while we have been reluctant to even play ONE of them and this in the Carabao Cup! Pochettino and Klopp, on the other hand, have done that and even used young players in the Premier League and Champions League. Trent Alexander-Arnold, for example, played 10 Champions League games last season, including the final, and he was only 19 then. Imagine our manager doing something like that here...ha!
-
It's cliche at this point but we have the most successful youth squad in the last 6-7 years. You can't say they aren't more ready than theirs or at least aren't equally ready. There are certainly few who could and should have been used a tad more in the minor cup games to begin with.
-
I find it bemusing that we keep on getting managers who forever insists that "young players need time to adapt to my tactics" or "young players aren't ready yet" or something along those lines and then at the same time, see other managers throw young players in from the go, like Emery at Arsenal. He certainly hasn't been afraid to play the youngsters in the Europa League and Carabao Cup, while we have gone almost full strength in those cup competitions.

Saw reports saying that we'll loan Morata to Milan for 18 months and Milan to loan us Higuain for 6 months. IF that is true, then we're surely eyeing someone in the summer. Maybe Icardi...

Ian McGarry...the person who is known to spout BS.

While I get the point of the tweet, using that pic as an example is totally stupid.
-
But it's debatable whether it's a right thing for our manager to be saying that out loud from day one, especially when this squad have won the league twice in last four seasons despite having average players. If Sarri says that with 10 games to go, then fine but before the ball has even been kicked? No. And mind you, he sort of changed his mind when we almost beat Liverpool earlier this season.
-
With Mourinho back then, there was a sense he was telling the media one thing and telling the players another and we would have won the title had it not been for those stupid losses to Palace, Villa and Sunderland in the run-in. But with Conte/Sarri, there is certainly no sense of that. Conte was relentlessly playing down our squad last season and not just to City, even United, Liverpool, Spurs! And Sarri, from day one, has already said we aren't title contenders. Whether we actually win it or not is another matter but from a manager's perspective, he should be motivating the players to be positive.
-
On that note, I don't think Sarri has helped matters either when he has kept on saying "we aren't title contenders" this season, similar to when Conte kept playing down our chances to win things last season.

Done. Login details remain the same yada yada yada...

Sarri channeling his inner-Benitez on that front.
