This is weird to say but am so relieved that we've finally won a game this season! It was a much improved performance from the start till the end. Dangerous going forward and looked far less open defensively than in previous matches. They were clinical with their first two chances but otherwise, we didn't give them much of a sniff at goal. BUT we can definitely still improve defensively. The midfield was non-existent at times when it comes to making challenges, opposing players were running through us far too easily. No doubt Rudiger and Kante returning would make us better but we really can't just rely on them both. Others need to step up in this regard.

Would say Pulisic has been solid rather than spectacular so far (works hard at both end of the pitch, though could do with bulking up a little), which is probably what you want from a 20-year-old coming to a new team (a team that is undergoing transition no less), new league etc.

TBF, none of the 3 strikers are convincing really. It's a case of hoping we strike gold with them for the particular match or hope someone steps up and claim the starting spot as their own.

If people are gonna have a go at Maria for making bad deals, then they should also have a go at the chief scout (can't remember the person's name) who recommends players to her. Heck, the blame should be more on the scout for even suggesting average/bad players to begin with!

Doesn't mean it didn't aggravate it or cause another injury to happen.

If we're going to sign a midfielder next summer, it should be an out-and-out defensive midfielder, who can sit in front of the back 4 and protect it (Kante is a different kind of DM before anyone jumps in). Right now, we don't have one and it's kinda costing us on the pitch. And if we're gonna sign someone from Leicester, it should be Chilwell.
