But they did just fine under previous managers with the 4-3-3. Problem with AVB's 4-3-3 is that he wanted to play an open expansive attacking football, adopting a high defensive line and press all over the pitch. As long as we avoid playing that again, we will be fine. Just go back to the slightly more conservative Mourinho/Hiddink/Ancelotti's 4-3-3 if you like if we are to use it.

Curious to know how many out there have actually drawn up a list of the players that we have and analyze them carefully to see what they can give to the team. Finding a buyer for them would be tough and finding replacements for them would be even tougher!

8m is still a decent fee to get in return. Better half a loaf than no bread. Also, we should get in replacements first IF we are thinking of letting go Essien and/or Meireles.

No. We were already linked with Hazard from the start along with City and United. He only really considered us after we won the CL because we'll be playing in it next season.
