Let's be honest here, as much as we all want Liverpool to fail and rot in mediocrity, we can't expect them to be in the current state forever. Sooner or later, they are gonna be a strong force and challenging for trophies again. Just a matter of 'when' and not 'if'.

Still. RDM looks like one of those managers who will stick with his preferred formation through thick and thin and will only change it on the rare occasions and even then, that change might be the 4-3-3.

RDM might give him some time out first given that he just finished playing for Brazil in the Olympics.

What does practicing crossing and set pieces got anything to do with habits and/or change in style?! Those two are like the basic components of the game regardless of the playing style. There are no reasons whatsoever not to practice and improve them!

Yes but as I said, it all depends on the approach. Last season, we pretty much went defensive with the 4-2-3-1 under RDM and the double pivot of Mikel and Lampard were discipline enough and it worked. Now, we try to be more offensive and expansive in our style of play and we're getting found out in that position. Which is why it is much preferrable to have one defensive midfielder along with one deep lying playmaker in the double pivot that can keep the ball, control the game and dictate the tempo. Lampard can do that but only to a certain extent while the likes of Meireles, Essien, Ramires are all useless in that aspect.

Maybe a competition for the RB slot is what Ivanovic need right now. Have completely slacked off since the start of pre-season as he probably knows that Ferreira and Hutchinson won't be able to challenge him for that position strongly enough.

Wouldn't mind Dzeko at all. Underused and a much better player than he is made out to be by the English media. Would happily stick Torres back to the bench IF we can get him but highly unlikely City will sell him to us.

He seems to be somewhat hasty in his play whenever he gets the chance to feature for us. Not sure if he's trying too hard to impress or what but he doesn't seem calm and compose enough.
