  1. Don't see the purpose of creating the thread. So, have just merged it with this post-match one.
  2. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the Milan board share the same thoughts as you there. Think it's difficult for any managers to manage Milan now in their current circumstances but as you pointed out, Allegri is not the best of managers to begin with anyway. Maybe a new face at the helm may help to turn things around.
  3. His lay-offs to setup both Cahill and Mata were pretty good too...
  4. That reminds me of the contrasting reactions of both AVB and Wenger on the touchline when Van Persie scored that late breakaway goal at the Bridge last season.
  5. Cahill did the same thing in the second half and Defoe took the ball away from him. Thankfully, nothing fruitful happened for Spurs then. And yeah, can never understand why defenders do that!
  6. Damn! Was really hoping for a Napoli win. Would have made things really interesting in Serie A. And wonder how long more Milan are gonna stick with Allegri.
  7. Bloody hell. 5-4?! Shame I couldn't watch the game!!
  8. Looks like Bayern are gonna win the title back. Dortmund have been in stuttering form this season.
  9. Ooh, just look how excited Harry was when Gary Lineker started mentioning about Spurs...
  10. You just have to admire his cool, calm and composed reaction after that prick Walker needlessly whacked the ball straight at him. Other players would probably have retaliated in negative manner but he didn't and got his revenge at the end!
  11. He does know how to strike the ball very well for a central defender. Here's one of them. Beautiful goal that.
  12. Apologies if this has been posted... And also, those were the players who reportedly rejected to join Spurs as well.
  13. Seriously at this rate, we might as well just play Cahill and Ivanovic as strikers.
  14. Yeah but not just him though. Sometimes you see a cross comes in and there's only one person in the box. No one else joining in or try to take a gamble.
  15. Fantastic result for Norwich. Good for them.
  16. I know. Del Bosque will select him at some point again. That is why I said "it will be better for us if he doesn't get picked for Spain, for as long as possible that is".
  17. Cruel defeat for West Brom but to be fair, City looked pretty threatening too despite playing with just 10 men for most of the game. If anything, West Brom only have themselves to blame. Foster did a Joe Hart for the first goal and a poor touch from Ridgewell was what set City away on the counter.
  18. Not sure why are people always complaining about that issue. Can see the reason why but it will be better for us if he doesn't get picked for Spain, for as long as possible that is. A rested Mata is an in form Mata.
  19. True but just hope we don't go onto one of those dodgy form period in winter again especially in December. We are bound to slip up here and there a bit but just hoping that it's not a prolonged poor run especially when the league are much more competitive these days.
  20. Just to throw in a couple of stats: 1. First Premier League win at White Hart Lane since 2005. And first London team to beat Tottenham there since 2007! 2. Chelsea only picked up 8 points from 8 PL London derbies last season. They have now gained 7 points from 3 PL derbies this season. 3. Roberto Di Matteo is unbeaten in 9 matches against Tottenham as player and manager.
  21. Absolutely vital that we avoid defeat here. Must aim to gain at least 4 points from the two matches against Shakhtar. If we do that, then we are likely to be on level points(8) with Juventus after Matchday 4 as one would assume them to beat Nordsjaelland home and away to get that 6 points. And just to add, Shakhtar are unbeaten in their last 33 matches(W31 D2) in all competitions. Last time they lost was back in November, where Porto won 2-0 in Ukraine and ultimately knocked Shakhtar out of the Champions League last season.

  24. Shades of his misses against Norwich and even Arsenal. Very frustrating. Thankfully, those misses haven't been too costly, yet...
  25. You have been well spikey today.
