  1. Post-season hangover. Getting all sorts of random (some silly) theories and conspiracies...

  3. That's pretty much what I meant. He will have an idea of what to do with Luiz (and others) in regards to his plan but there is still time to change that... (and you should have made clearer the first time if you are talking about Luiz, specifically!)
  4. Don't think Mourinho or any other managers for that matter will still be clueless about their plans when pre-season is not far off. He would have already done his homework, thought about his plans and have ideas on what to do already but what's probably certain is, he will give the players (ones that he might have doubts on) chance to prove him wrong and change his plans.
  5. Carlo Ancelotti will be like a breath of fresh air at Real Madrid Interesting...
  6. No point. Uruguay will still be playing in the Confederations Cup regardless of the result later because there is a play-off match for 3rd place too, which is on Sunday along with the final.
  7. As Skipper has already alluded too, I think the club have treated Torres very VERY well already by being patient (perhaps forced too) considering he has never really hit any sort of heights and perform consistently throughout this 2 1/2 years at level he should be with us.
  8. Can see where you are coming from but think Mata is big and mature enough to survive and live independently without his close friend Torres at the club. And besides, Torres isn't the only close Spanish friend of his here, or just generally for that matter.
  9. Paul Clement has gone with Ancelotti to Madrid too by the way.
  10. He talks and talks and talks but hardly even prove it on the pitch consistently! So much delusional thinking and words being spouted out of his mouth every time when he talks about this!!
  11. That is down more to subjective view as opposed to an objective one. As said before, AVB is a manager with great potential but he's nowhere a great manager yet. He has the qualities but still yet to prove himself and be successful in any way over a long period of time. Can understand people like the qualities and him as a manager but at the same time, these people are completely overrating those qualities at the moment.
  12. Merged with the Serie A thread. Don't need a separate one.

  14. Choosing the team and setting the tactics was the plan. The execution of the whole thing was wrong, from the man-management to the team management! I'm sorry. The relationship between a manager and the players should be a two-way relationship and not one way in today's modern game. A manager just can't come in and demand respect immediately without earning it by managing the players in the right manner. Players should respect the manager yes but so should the manager respect the players as well.
  15. The players don't just suddenly decide to be 'absolute cunts' out of nowhere without something or someone triggering it. Early on that season, things were working fine and nothing much was happening but then it began to unravel suddenly come Novermber (about that time). Why? AVB himself has already admitted his mistakes in terms of how he went about things here and yet people are still banging on like he's nowhere at fault for this when he was the person that started this whole debacle with his poor man management skills then in the first place.
  16. No. My point is calling him a great manager at the moment is over-stretching it. He may have won 3 trophies in the space of 4 seasons but as Alex pointed out, he only had 2 full seasons at a club so far. How can you say with definite that he's a great manager just over this short period of time? I mean we all banged about how a manager, team, player(s) should be judged over a long period of time but why is AVB being called a great manager so fast? He still needs to prove himself over the long term to even be considered one. If he wins 5-6 trophies over the 8-10 years, then fair enough. Maybe you can call him that. But if he win like only 1-2 trophies or even none in that same period, then would you still be calling him a great manager? Seriously, that kind of argument is just tiresome. Just because we are supposedly 'being way too critical' of AVB (or any players for that matter), that doesn't mean we don't like him. We are just looking at things objectively. And if you are gonna say we are being too critical of AVB because we don't like him, I could also turn around and say you guys are being so praiseful and way too complimenting because you love AVB so much.
  17. Seriously. Almost each of their picture has the other in it.
  18. Sheesh. I said similar not same. Don't have to go all so into details. And no. I am a she in a he...at least according to Choo Choo.
  19. Looks similar the design. Just that this one has more lines here and there going about.
  20. That is almost like a remake of the black away kit back in 08/09 season.
  21. Not doubting he has the qualities but there is no point having that if he can't back it up with trophies. It is that that makes a manager a true great manager. Right now, people describing AVB as a great manager is just a loose description. To say he's a great manager at this point in time is rather over-exaggerating it. Good manager? Yes. Great manager? No.
  22. How exactly is he a great manager now when his CV is hardly glittering and filled with trophies like the actual great ones?! He's basically only got 1 year of success so far in his career.
  23. Yeah...brought in to do a job which he ultimately failed in the end all because of his own doing to begin with, something that many choose to ignore.
