His 3rd goal is absolutely brilliant! Similar to Oscar's vs Zambia but without THAT deflection.

Our attack can't convert chances on a consistent/regular basis these days. And, there always seem to be 1-2 mistakes in our defence every time. Doesn't make us feel totally safe and confident like it used to be.

Will be nice if we can kill the game off early, something that we hardly do these days. Can then at least conserve some energy for the key game against Schalke in mid-week.

I take your point. Hence, I've renamed the thread to basically a 'No.10' role discussion that can obviously involve more than just Mata or Oscar.. However, the closing thread part is no-no IMO. The phrasing of 'Mata v Oscar' might be wrong but it was nothing more than to generate a discussion/debate, a healthy discussion/debate at that. It doesn't force people to take the sides. It's just that we all have our own opinion of who's better in that role. Otherwise, we should just close every discussion threads out there...And conflict or verbal fights only happen because people want to have it..

Could easily turn around and say playing Ivanovic at RB is just wrong.. Gotta feel sorry for Azpi. He's a specialist RB and has proved that he can be our no.1 RB for at least the next 6-7 years but here we are with Mourinho having immediate preferences of Ivanovic at RB.

IF what Lewandowski said really is true about not agreeing any deal with Bayern and wants to play in England (trying not to get any hopes up here), it would then be really foolish of us not to go out and buy him. Both and Rooney are arguably the only 2 strikers that fits into the profile of our squad and will work well the attacking trio. Could throw in Torres as well..
