Workrate, hold up play, linking up with others, heading ability, physical like STs, not the most talented players in terms of skills/technique etc... Not sure if the Mandzukic this season is a fair representation of what he's like as a ST considering Guardiola's style of play doesn't suit him entirely. A better judgment would be the Mandzukic last season under Heynckes. There was a reason why he was the preferred ST choice then rather than the prolific Mario Gomez because he offers a lot to the team.

Costa is not all about just his work in the box though. Also pretty decent out of it, similar to Mandzukic.

This is rather hilarious especially if Eto'o really said what he said.. Two grown up men bickering over an 'old player' comment in the media. Then again, Mourinho and Eto'o probably know each other well enough to take those comments made with a pinch of salt...

A strikeforce of Costa, Mandzukic and 'player X' is pretty decent. The first two might be a tad similar but at least, it's already an upgrade on the past few seasons!
