You might want to check the H2H record and actually see how the match unfolded when they play each other. Villa were never a bogey side for United.

I don't see them flopped because they got kicked from every direction. There are factors to that, if you want to talk about flopping, before it comes to being kicked about.

Am sure that thought (or something along those lines) would have crossed Mourinho's mind by now but he has hardly ever play or even try Hazard out in the No.10 position. That being said, we need to remember that what Mourinho's demands are from the player he plays at No.10. I doubt Hazard would be able to do what Oscar does in that position effectively because it's not really his style. If this was say under Benitez or RDM where there was more freedom allowed, then yeah, we might see Hazard there from time to time (which we did) but since that's not the case, then I doubt we'll be seeing that under Mourinho.

It's only 2 players so far and 1 of them is from the Premier League. Don't think there will be such a big of the players adapting to their new teammates but if anything, they might just take some time to adapt to Van Gaal's style. That being said, he just said recently with the Dutch team that he doesn't care about the style, only bothers with the win. They do actually, at least on paper. They won't face any of last season's Top 7 till mid-October, where they will face Everton at Old Trafford. Before that, United will play Swansea(H), Sunderland(A), Burnley(A), QPR(H), Leicester(A) and West Ham(H). Their hell-ish run of games will come in March-April as they'll face Spurs, Liverpool, Man City, us and Everton in consecutive games with the only easy game against Villa throw into that run.

You misunderstood the point. Was talking about Willian delivering free kicks for others to score, not shooting directly at goal from free kicks himself. Moreover, Willian has hardly ever take free kicks for us when it is facing directly against the goal.

Spending £60m on one player is just laughable (unless you're spending it on Ronaldo or Messi, which will cost more than that anyway). We may get Pogba but not for that kind of money.

Ronaldo and Messi have suffered lots of times during their career and it hasn't exactly took its toll on them, has it? It's not like opponents are kicking him out of the field in the manner like Honduras did in this World Cup.
