  1. Torres 2.0? Not sure how many fellas here know that footballers have the kinesio tape on them all the time and they aren't exclusively used only when players have muscle injuries.
  2. I think people do appreciate that but those attributes can only take one so far. Willian is an attacking player after all and as long as he doesn't produce the goals and assists on a more regular basis, he's gonna be hammered quite a bit here.
  3. https://vine.co/v/OUOFJhizAJz Moyes...
  4. It was only a cross and an assist when Atletico were 3-0 up. Nothing to shout home about.
  5. Wasn't talking about his passing, but overall performances. When he goes AWOL, even our pressing suffers.
  6. Hence it's hilarious we praise attacking players for their defensive work and not their attacking play AND defensive players for their attacking play and not their defensive work.
  7. Unfortunately, looks like that's going to be the case with Willian till he leaves/is sold. We'll be praising him for his defensive work not his attacking plays, even though he's an attacking player.
  8. He may be 23 years old but how long more can we stick with that as an excuse? There's hardly been any marked improvement in his game and/or performances. He's been inconsistent and there's hardly even a gradual improvement in his abilities as a player. Moreover, I don't think people are scared that he's going to go AWOL again for the second half of the season. More of frustration than anything else. Can't keep playing players who don't bother to turn up and have passengers in the starting XI.
  9. Being handed a new deal doesn't mean the manager and club are right. Even managers are prone to having blind faith on players. Also, if we're just gonna resort to the 'Mourinho knows more than the us all' like you did there, we might as well just quit the forum and be a passive fan, agreeing with everything he does.
  10. Give Oscar more time? 3 1/2 seasons not enough?! Oscar should be feeling thankful that somehow he's been given so much trust, time and patience in the team. Other players have been shown out of the door almost immediately the minute they started putting in few poor performances. They weren't even afforded the same level of trust, time and patience to improve and get better while people like Oscar have been enjoying that luxury (and probably even abusing it himself).
  11. Not surprised. He played on the LW and was making runs from the wing, combining with the other attacking players, getting into goalscoring positions and of course, demonstrating his qualities in creating and taking chances (assisted two today, albeit one was indirectly).
  12. 7 points clear! Wahey. Hardly a great performance but at least we did our job to get the 3 points. Would have been pathetic had we dropped points against Villa! Other than that, nothing much to write about considering we played against one of the worst sides in the league right now. Also, credit where is due to Steve Bruce and Hull. Put in an excellent performance and claimed an unexpected at Man City. Well done.
  13. Only came on for the last 10 minutes. There's nothing to write home about here really. Would wait till he gets more minutes and thrown into a different situation before evaluating him.
  14. No wonder some players couldn't leave quickly enough. Some players can play badly for 10 straight games and still be in the starting XI while the minute others do badly, we won't see them till another 4-5 matches later. It's one rule for one group of players and another rule for the other group. At the rate this is going, it's perhaps not an exaggeration to suggest that you can count the number of great games Oscar will have in one season with both hands.
  15. C'mon now mate. There's no need to abuse others here. You're better than that..
  16. We may be 7 points clear but there's still a long way to go. Silly to jump the gun. Anything can still happen and apart from the Arsenal game at the Emirates that people pointed out, the home matches against United, Liverpool, Southampton and even Everton are not given. Still gotta win them. Like Mourinho said, one game at a time.
  17. Scenes if we concede against Aston Villa today.

  22. He has embraced the Liverpool's mentality of "always the victim, never their fault" and at least he's consistent with that (which is the only thing you can praise him for) in the past few years.
