  1. But I don't see you bringing up this point when Oscar plays well. Why only mention this when he's off form (if you can call it that)?
  2. So, when Oscar plays well, it's because of him. But when he doesn't play well, it's because of Mourinho's supposed 'park the bus' approach.
  3. This will excite a few... Chelsea may sell Oscar and Ramires to fund Paul Pogba transfer
  4. Not saying Kane is rubbish or anything but in England, the media hype is everything.
  5. Not saying Benitez's reign was great or perfect but he certainly gave us the defensive stability that was missing in the team. Under RDM, we were practically attacking with 4-5 players and defending with 4-5 players. There wasn't any collective effort both going forward and backward. I still remember the amount of ridiculous goals we conceded from simple cut-backs during his tenure. Opposing teams play the ball out to their winger, cut it back to an onrushing player and bam, goal! On top of that, Benitez also instilled some tactical nous into the players in terms of what to do during different phases of the play. That ensured we kept the balance in our side and do not get overrun so easily like we did previously. Now, the work Benitez did might look like nothing to some but it certainly provided us a platform to go from there, which Mourinho built on and adjusted according to his liking after he came in. I don't disagree that we got a tough group back then but I find it somewhat 'convenient' that people throw that excuse around like we're some new team in the Champions League. We have plenty of experience in the competition and should have done better back then. Had we not thrown away the 2-0 lead against Juventus and/or conceded 1 less in the home win against Shakhtar, we would have been in the last 16. But because of the team's and players' defensive deficiencies, we didn't make it. As for the season before that, we could have been eliminated from the group stage as well but the difference was, fate was in our hands. Beat Valencia and we are through. In the 2012/13 campaign, we had to beat Nordsjaelland and hope Shakhtar beat Juventus, which was a far worse situation than the other one.
  6. I actually meant to say the 2012/13 season but guess the 11/12 campaign can fall into the category too. The FA Cup and Champions League matches were certainly fun to watch. Plenty of 'roller coaster rides'.
  7. Mourinho's presser at 12.30pm UK time today...

  10. Think it was just a case of him being annoyed at the silly question. CLICK THE LINK MAN! "Are there any reasons to still believe in the Spanish national team after another poor performance against Holland?"
  11. What else do you expect here when Sterling is an attacking wide player?
  12. Really? Have seen so many wanting Koke to replace Oscar.
  13. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/chelsea-injury-news-diego-costa-a-doubt-to-face-stoke-city-on-saturday-10149685.html The news in link above was posted yesterday (Wednesday) and according to that, Costa, Cech and Mikel are all doubtful for this game.

  15. Sir Alex Ferguson once lost a match as United boss thanks to ducks
  16. Call me crazy but I kinda enjoyed the 'mess' that happened in the 2011/12 season. Plenty of ridiculous ups and downs, especially when we were playing a game every 3-4 days from start to finish.
  17. If only we could shrink Ivanovic by 15cm...
  18. Apologies for mistaking the timeline of events but still doesn't exactly take away the point.
  19. That was before and what happened when that motivation sort of went out of the window? They went AWOL, to put it kindly.
  20. Really? The 2010/11 team was certainly the worst IMO. No inspiration. No excitement. No nothing. Just pure stagnation from start to finish, with a bunch of players who were already over the hill.
