  1. That's the problem when we have proactive midfielders and striker but the defenders are reactive. All but one of our defenders are reactive, which is just awful really. It's preventing us from pressing high up the pitch at times.
  2. Annoyed that we can't get beyond the 90-point mark now. Could have become the first team to earn more than 90 points in a PL season more than twice!

  5. We do have issues dealing with teams with dribblers, don't we? Midfielders and striker press but the defenders back off. Gaps galore.
  6. It feels as though we're having 2 Mikels out there at the moment. RLC is playing safe with his passing so far.
  7. Ivanovic is in the 'can't be arsed' mode today. Just watch how lazy that pass and challenge were. Absolute farcical!!
  8. RLC is indeed starting (second last paragraph)...
  9. Pick faults? Think you misunderstood the point. People think we won this year's title only because there's no competition and overlook the work we put in. They prefer the 2009/10 season just because there was a team challenging us then even though the team has displayed better qualities now than back then.
  10. Not discrediting that title win in 2010 at all. We played some great stuff and had some excellent results but unlike this season, we couldn't sustain them. We played well and got the results for 3-4 games and then suddenly played badly and dropped silly points. This season, we played well and consistently got good results. When we didn't play well, we still got good results. Obviously, the others have done poorly this season to compete but we have also done brilliantly to make sure there's no competition. The only thing people seem to be focusing on is how weak the others have been rather than looking at the work we've done.

  12. Manchester United were more competitive back then than now but that still doesn't say much. I just don't get why people have used the lack of competition from others this season to sort of downplay our title win. I don't deny that City, Arsenal and United have been inconsistent but on the other hand, why don't people look at our consistency in picking up results this season and actually appreciate the quality to win matches even when we're not playing well? We have been the most consistent, dominant side and one who are capable of getting three points by playing different ways. In 2009/10, we had competition from United but were we really that good? We played some great stuff that term but were quite prone to brainfart results along the way. Silly points dropped against Birmingham, Hull, Man City, Blackburn and Spurs for instance. We were inconsistent and that made it look like the league was harder to win back then.
  13. I would say, Ancelotti is just the more glamarous version of Benitez.
  14. Don't you know, Oscar is the best No.10 in the world on his day..?
  15. I don't expect the youth players to feature against Liverpool but am expecting them to play against West Brom and Sunderland. Will be disappointed if Mourinho didn't play some of them, especially when our first team options are somewhat limited at the moment.
  16. I don't think Guardiola is joining Manchester City next season. That rumour conveniently came out today after Bayern lost to Augsburg. Think he will give another go in Germany and try to rectify things in Europe.
  17. I really don't get how Steve Bruce escapes criticism in the media. His sides always seem to be in the bottom 5 of the table and with this Hull side, he's spent like 40m+ this season and yet, they are in danger of getting relegated. Such an awful manager but doesn't get criticised as much as others do.
  18. Another year without a league title for Ancelotti. That's just 3 league triumphs in 20 years as a manager. Pretty awful really. HIs record against the top 4 since joining Real Madrid is appalling - just two wins from 12 matches, losing 7 of them.
  19. That's still bearable as long as he doesn't reach the Torres level of uselessness...
