  1. I quote Blackadder, I find myself in the stickiest situation since Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun.
  2. Sorry if I sounded arrogant as well. This was based on the game. If we, probably the slowest team in England, outpaced your defenders regularly, Napoli, with their super quick strikers, would have gotten in behind your defenders many more times than we did.
  3. Nah. If there is to be any fucking, it'll be group stage. Their team is an assorted hotch-potch of past it strikers and left backs. No chance of this rabble making the knockouts for at least 5-6 years.
  4. To be absolutely sure of us never having to play him, we could sell him to Luch-Energiya Vladivostok.
  5. Completely agree. It would have been 3 or 4-0 if Napoli had gotten through.
  6. Why ???? Edit: was referring to FB's post. I wouldn't know about that, I've only been to Sri Lanka once and India twice. And we're Catholic anyway, as I understand, religion has something to do with it in India.
  7. That's probably why I haven't heard of it. I'm of South Indian/Sri Lankan heritage
  8. It was on mirrorfootball yesterday. It's either bollocks or Sala is even more of a gentleman than I believe him to be.
  9. 67 is pretty steep for just 1 bottle.. I can get 2 bottles of Smirnoff for just $5 more than that. Which is my favorite spirit, btw. I might try this one day though, if I get a job soon and there's a special occasion coming up
  10. Hahaha, I hope someone finds a link of that interview
  11. I might try that one day, if its not too expensive. Is it exported worldwide?
  12. How many 23 year olds earn that much except for the very best? Sturridge is ''only'' above average for his age. He hasn't peaked yet and I don't think he's done enough to deserve such money.
  13. Those ads . The best I've seen from Toohey's was the beer economy ads, they were quite funny (or maybe I was just 15). I will rep you for that as soon as I'm permitted to. I've never tried Toohey's New/Old/others. Is it really good? Crown is pretty good as well. But I suppose it all comes down to individual taste. I loathe VB and Hahn, and you loathe Carlton Draught. There are heaps of brands I've never tried, though. Maybe I'll find something other than Carlton Draught, but I doubt it
  14. From what I've heard, the little bugger seems to be agitating for a large contract. It's Joe Cole all over again, isn't it? He's certainly good, perhaps at the peak of his career he should be earning within 80-100k but at this age he should be on no more than 50, and if he can't accept that, Man City is that way.
  15. We'll see nothing like that. He's only got a year left on his contract. We'll be lucky to get 8 figures for him. Give him a new 5 year deal on current wages but with some preposterous clause, like after he plays 25 league games his wage rises to 150k, to ensure he signs it. Then send out some faxes to the bigger clubs around the continent and lets get shot of him for 25 million. I think he lacks the professionalism and consistency to become one of the best strikers in the world, he'll probably belong to the next highest category though. I forsee a future career trajectory somewhat more like Dimitar Berbatov or Nicolas Anelka rather than Thierry Henry or Andriy Shevchenko.
  16. I've finally cleaned my desktop
  17. I like him. He's a great character. He just needs to cut out the crazy fireworks in his apartment shit, and just do the good things, like giving money to strangers before Christmas. I think Mancini is right about one thing, as a footballer he's starting to mature.
  18. I'd like to see this: Cech Ferreira-Cahill-Terry-Bertrand Meireles-Romeu-Mikel Kalou-Lukaku-Sturridge. Never mind that there are bits of lemon peel floating down the Thames that would make better wingers than Sturridge; he's still better than Malouda no matter where we play him.
  19. He will play at least off the bench against Villa, IMO, just to keep the other strikers fresh.
  20. What about international drinks? I quite like this beer we have, I don't think its sold overseas: And it spawned what must be the greatest advertisement of all time:
  21. It's great stuff, but it can be a bit overwhelming on the first few times you eat it. Probably best to start off with mild/smaller portions. As for my favourite, I like to keep it simple with barbecqued lamb: Also, this is very low browed and highly unsophisticated of me, but I would go to Mars and back for a tuna sandwich with this in it:
