Looking at this scenario I think zaha makes the perfect sense. Can play as a striker and winger. Not too young and not too old. Good age to last 3 seasons top. And heck if we get 3 good seasons that will be a good thing for me since 3 years in the modern sport is an eternity. The problem we would have had with piatek is that he would have been first choice and Tammy never would have been considered like now. Now as you mentioned we need a complement, and to get a pure striker might not work. But to get a player like Saha that can play in different positions can benefit us greatly for a secondary striker, two striker, or striker plus winger etc etc. I think zaha like martial would give us flexibility in terms of system. But martial is out of the equation, zaha not..... The problem is the fee 😔

But back to the point that is my argument. How we know if any of the youth are good if not giving chances? We buy a new player and we are forced to play them because of what we spend. When there's a plan for youth, you need to factor in that. You need to give space and time to implement youth.
-
Yes but the problem always remains. We want youth, but we block their chances when we buy a new player. And this one thing I think my good friend @Vesper don't factor in to the equation in the analysis of buying players. New players that we buy can they potential block the rise of a youth? How do you balance that? Now that we have Tomori, Mount and Tammy we can buy more smart to complement these positions. That was something that wasn't factor in before.
-
I know, I was more surprised by people reaction here when he left. Because when I saw the transfer official on my phone i was happy.
-
Now that Tammy is getting game time, was it a wise move from the board not to get Piatek?
-
Good too much money for him. Even though I would like him here, but for the money they are asking it's ridiculous. For that money go for Sancho.
-
I think he will, he has more potential then Zouma and Lampard work with him. Easily ahead of Zouma. Now with Rudgier back, the question is who will be second? Tomori or AC? I vote for Tomori. I think Tomori has more potential then AC. AC should be 3rd CB.
-
Well with all these youths that are coming at Chelsea and all the youth that England has I think we are in for another era of good players for England. Think by next world cup they will be a little more mature and take a go at the title.
-
Is Christense better then Tomori? I think Tomori might come good with Rudgier. I would prefer to push more Tomori then Christensen. Andreas is better for 3r CB or he can be sold next summer and get another CB. Ruben in mid? I'm not sure, where does Pulisic land? To me Pulisic also has good potential, just that is first season in England. For now it will continue to be Kante, Jorginho and Kovaic in mid.
-
I still want Mbappe but I doubt he will like to come here, hence why I think we should spend big on Sancho. Time to continue to build our team with young English players. And then on CB. So spend big on Sancho and CB. I will be happy with those two transfer in the summer.
-
well let's hope we can beat them or draw so that they don't start running away with the title.
-
Yeah seems like it's Liverpool title this year unless they throw away another league tittle. But after winning the CL last season they should be a team more mature to see it through.

Post when you have the show or link to see live. Thanks.

For the money better then torres and morata combine! It is good that for once we have a manager that trust youth. Something I been wanting for ages. I think since Carlo was here but we always went for managers of name. I'm enjoying these times with the youth because it's a moment I have been waiting for a while. 😎
-
If Cho don't sign that contract after seeing the trust that Lampard puts in the youth he can leave. He is an ungrateful player. Zero excuse now.
-
I have said it before and today is another proof. Lampard is smart and he adjust. He is not stubborn. This is what I like about him and gives me high hopes for him. A manager that is smart, adjust and has charisma can go a long way. It's still early in the season and his career but this is amazing to me.

Giving that city has first refusal say we put in a 80 million bid, city has to match that? What is they do, does Sancho have any say if he don't want to go to city?
-
We screwed up but after a screw up there's a lesson to be learn. I feel like that the board learned the lesson. It is why Lampard is back and will be giving support to play youth.
-
Ruthless? Seriously? If they was ruthless Sarri would have been long gone. ie losing to City 6 to 0...... They have lost that ruthlessness for me.
-
What's more stupid is that when Sarri leaves there was report that he wanted to buy him, yet when he was here he hardly play him. Bunch of clowns!

Inter Milan fans' group defend monkey chants aimed at Romelu Lukaku by Cagliari supporters Lukaku, who signed for Inter from Manchester United last month, demanded immediate action from the Italian football authorities after he was abused during Sunday's 2-1 win. A group called 'L'Urlo Della Nord' say Lukaku "has to understand" that - in Italy - fans have "ways only to help our teams and to try to make opponents nervous" - and they do not believe them to be racist. In a statement on Facebook, the group said: "Hi Romelu, we are writing you on behalf of Curva Nord, yes the guys who welcomed you at your arrival in Milan. We are really sorry you thought that what happened in Cagliari was racist. "You have to understand that Italy is not like many other north European countries where racism is a real problem. We understand that it could have seemed racist to you but it is not like that. "In Italy we use some "ways" only to "help our teams" and to try to make our opponents nervous, not for racism but to mess them up. "We are a multi-ethnic fans organisation and we have always welcomed players from everywhere. However, we have always used that 'way' with other teams' players in the past and we probably will in the future. "We are not racist and so are not the Cagliari fans." The statement went on to argue that the fight against racism should not begin in football stadiums but in schools, and that fans behave differently in stadiums than in the outside world. On Tuesday, the Italian league's disciplinary judge says he needed more evidence before deciding if Cagliari should be punished for the chants, which judge Gerardo Mastrandrea did not refer to as "racist" in his weekly report. Lukaku converted Inter's winning penalty in the game, and then glared at home fans behind the goal as they directed the monkey chants at him. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11801850/inter-milan-fans-group-defend-monkey-chants-aimed-at-romelu-lukaku-by-cagliari-supporters

Or it could be that the board really do give the managers ears into what they want. The problem here is by the time the manager realizes Willian is no good, he's gone. Conte sacked after second season. Then Sarri comes in and wants to keep him. Of course board will not sell. That is the problem with constantly changing managers.

I wonder where Eriksen will end up because for sure if he will be sold in January.
