Attack wise I'm fine with the work they done. As I always said the SD might need another one to help them with defense because that's where they been really bad. Cucurella aside not much has been good there.

But this is where you let your hatred get in the way of seeing the truth, an avaerage manager will play good once in a while but not consistently against the biggest team, PSG, Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal etc etc. That is not what an average manager does, you just hating. While consistency in the smaller games I will give you that, but that has nothing to do with average manager. That is about fixing some things him and the board can fix this summer.

Not from the last game he ain't ready which is what been saying that is mistake you made just like maresca with the defense. But he admitted his mistakes in not starting Josh in his last conference. And he has gotten the best out of them against Barcelona, PSG and arsenal. So he is doing that.

Like you was not getting with Estevao starting when I told you not good idea. You wanted to start Estevao from the beginning when I was telling you not yet. And we saw the right view of why is that against leeds. These young players you need to bring them in little by little because PL is another thing compared to the CL.

I think we have a chance of winning the CL this season then winning the PL. Doubt we finish outside of top 5, we are much better then last season for that to happen. And last night lineup is just that problem that needs to be addressed in the summer. If the board don't do it then the problem is them not the manager.

Well continue to get mad and disspointed because this is what we will get this season. We have ups and downs and the board are okay with that. Likewise I'm okay with that, until the summer. If we don't spend some good amount addressing the defense then I will start to worry like you.

Nope we are seeing progress which is what matters the most. You still have the standard of Roman and that is wrong. We are building something that can be sustainable to compete for many years, but it's not this season. So lower your expectations. I think next season is when we should start to be more of title contenders and be more consistent. This season I still expect us to be like this, which is something I mentioned after the Barcelona game when everyone was calling us a title contender. And even Maresca knew it not to get carried away. We are going in the right direction but not yet. I do hope the board sees that as well and continue with what we got and build the squad in the areas we need improvement.

@Vesper good article, but is a ball playing defender? He might come cheap but I'm not sure if he is what we need for Maresca style of play. I would have prefer Hincapie which we did not went when he was available.... Unless I see Murillo or Bastoni I don't think no CB will take us to the next step up we need. And thus we will continue being soft in defense for a while.

I agree, I like Delap and to me at this moment in time I prefer over Pedro. Pedro and Delap together is just not working at this time, so sorry Pedro but with Cole back he will take your place. Until Pedro can improve and see what he brings to the table the two type striker is not for me. And last no point in repeating the same stuff I always mentioned as our undoing. This is why for me Maresca has done amazing, that he can bring us this far with that defense is amazing to me.

Nah if we got a good defense we would be 0 to 0 into second half which is what is more important.

The defense that we got is not good as well for this type of style. This is for me I'm more surprised that we have achieved so much with this defense, and that speaks volume of the manager. Get this guy the ball playing defender and we should be killing it.

How you thinking Estevao starting? As I been saying he is too young and the PL is different then CL. He needs to continue to come as sub not starting.

I would take out Pedro and bring in Cole. It's just not working the Pedro and Delap partnership at the moment.

By the way hato has not played much. As I been saying as well the board are not good for defense, they need to higher one director for this.

I was thinking about this, if City wins it's not the end of the world for me, if Arenal wins the mentaility shift will be insane and more competition withim over the next couple of season. I prefer Arsenal blow it because mentally they will be so low ala Spurs. City has been the reference over the last decade and if they win it I think Pep will use it to hung up his boots. So if we can't win it, I don't mind City.

Yamal looked nothing amazing against us, but I will still spend plus 100 million if we could get him. One game does not define a player. That being said I would not mind if we get one of them, BUT not at the cost of blowing our budget on that and negate defense.

I'm not sold in him yet, I would like him to go on a loan. But for me sell gusto, Fofana, badi, Disasi and maybe chalobah. It's just amazing we have done this good with that defense that I want gone. As always said I'm fine with Sanchez as long as we get top cb. Sanchez would be the least of our problems if we get rid of those and get good cb.
