Because the club is number one priority. We always want the club to do well no matter who is here. It was not good with Mourinho and thus we are relieved he is gone because it means we can move forward. But we are sad because after the club we appreciate the human being, the work that he did in the past.

I think this is the biggest point that has been learned. In the past no one came close to Mourinho, no matter what they did. But after the second return of Mourinho all that aura has been lost that the club can now move from his shadow. Because his shadow used to hang hard in the club with any manager that came. And now that the shadow is gone, the expectations for future manager would be lower. Which would be good as it will bring less pressure on future coaches. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's what I used to notice from everone when ever we used to get a new manager before. Like "oh he's not good enough or close to what Mourinho could do" and it was like this for every manager. Now it won't be like this as expectations won't be sky rocket high that Mourinho set in his first stint.

I feel the same, no celebration for me. Very relief because we have been drag down the mud. And the thought that we can bounce back (hopefully) makes me happy. I do feel sad he's gone for the past achievement, but the past is the past. We don't live from the past, we need to move on and appoint someone that can take us in the right direction.
-
Not right for you, but I'm glad he's gone. He has brought the club down, nothing to be excited about that. Now we can bounce back.
-
Good news. Cannot be a better man to help us pick up. Can't do any worse then the relegation battle we are in right now.
-
Respect to someone who shows respect.
-
I'm relieved, this guy is such a toxic man. Has drag the club down to the mud, and all the good work done by the board is gone because of him. Now to pick up again slowly and hopefully next season we can have something to smile about. It's just been a tortured and I'm glad they put him out if his misery.

It was bad at the beginning but it wasn't that bad at the end. In fact if it wasn't for Mourinho coming back most wouldn't have cared if he stayed because there was progress being made. Seriously you ask for us to respect Mourinho but can't show respect to someone who also won us a tittle? Hypocrisy at it's best!
-
They gave him plenty of time and chance. So no one can say that our board are ruthless. They gave him too much time and freedom to do whatever he wanted.
-
Screw this, I'm happy with a 3 to 5 year project. That's long term enough for me!
-
Well since you was right about Mourinho since the beginning of the year, I want to know what's your thought if we get Ramos? As @DYC., mentioned Mourinho has set us back many years. The best thing we can do from now on and next season is just play more younger players. As let's face it, we won't be in the CL come next season. Might not even make the Europa League, so let's take the chance to change our style and introduce some young blood.
-
Well with Benitez it wasn't that bad when he left. Started crap and finish good. I liked the vibe back then before the "One Of Us" took over and screw up everything.
-
I remember Henrique mentioning something similar happen to Ariggo Sachi and Fabio Capello. They was awesome in their time, but then they just faded. This is an interesting topic that requires further study. I think the problem is that everyone thinks that they can do a Ferguson, but that was once in a blue moon. We might never see something like that again in our lifetime.....well you can say Wenger, but that's not nearly close to what Ferguson did.
-
Yeah we can't do creative player with this manager. It's best to get big and tall players so we can play hoof the ball and park the bus. We are lucky Mourinho was not around during Zola time, otherwise he would have been kicked down the can like he did with other flair players.
-
Well drop them and play the youth. Can't be any worse then people who don't try.

Chelsea's woeful season - why has it gone so wrong at Stamford Bridge? http://www.espnfc.us/barclays-premier-league/23/blog/post/2758164/why-have-jose-mourinho-and-chelsea-been-so-poor-this-season A good read.

Sorry lads this ship has sailed. He didn't choose us before and not going to be a second try. He is going to City or United, simple as that.

Chelsea board discussing Jose Mourinho future - sources http://www.espnfc.us/chelsea/story/2758812/chelsea-board-discussing-jose-mourinho-future-sources

Juande Ramos? Ridicules, I rather take a shot with Bielsa, Sampaoli, or Emery.
-
Right but then Mourinho don't play the youth. He said he was going to do it if the regular players don't play over a month ago. And still nothing.
-
I remember last year when people would laugh that he would be sold to Madrid. Well here we are, and each week it seems like it will happen. Oh well, this is the price we will need to pay to keep Mourinho. Let's get some good money so we can buy some big and tall players.
-
I think this is the important point people are grasping to see. He lost the dressing room at Real Madrid after three seasons, and he has done the same thing again at Chelsea. If he rebuilds then the trend suggest it will happen again. Mourinho personality is not conducive for someone to manage a same team for a large period of time.
-
Me too, would love to see that madmen at least for a season or two. I think he is like Mourinho, only good for short term but the difference is that he can leave us with an attack minded philosophy in a short time. As oppose to Mourinho BS philosophy.
-
Absurdity, you got to look at what happened at real Madrid and then see what is happening here. Mourinho has made this mess unto itself. We could be forgiven of one time and real Madrid being crazy team. But second time? It's like avb. Did bad here and then got a chance at Spurs and also showed how out of his depth he was. No sorry my friend the past is the past. He used to be the best manager now he's just a shadow of his former self. This is why I would love him gone. But it's not what I want but what the clubs want. And I think they have already made their decision.
-
Well it's never the time with our club. When Mourinho first came out was because it was his first season. Then second season because we had to win. Now third season because of the situation we are in. There's always an excuse each season and I'm sick of it.
