Yes, it is true for some Players, but for TOP Players like Cavani, who are being chased by many clubs, European Football becomes a deciding factor. We need to Entice Cavani with more than just Money, if he comes here it's because of our manager, and the other players we've gotten. he needs to see that our Squad has become MUCH stronger. All signs point to a much needed overhaul

I'm sure others have noticed but Juan mata's performances have rapidly declined in quality over the season. He is, IMO, nowhere near as good as he was at the start of the season. I don't know exactly why this is, maybe it's Fatigue, the fact that he's grown used to our lack of Creative and pacey play, or the fact that he has just grown to comfortable with his position in the team. he knows there is not really anyone at our club that can challenge him for his spot and thus he isn't putting in 100%. (which is another reason why we need the overhaul). Lately he's become dull and a bit Mikel like. He's passng is genreally sideways or backwards and almost always short. he never seems to look for that Decisive through ball anymore, or the ball over the top. He isn't looking to move forward and take the attack on. He's just going through the Motions. Fatigue may have a big part to play in it but he needs better and more creative players around him who can help him but also challenge for his spot.

Agreed time for Mata to be rested. Would love a win, tough game to Predict. The JT Handball was NEVER a Penalty, how on earth was he supposed to get his Arm out of the way, plus he had his arms by his side, not in an un-nautral position. Also you say you could have popped in a goal or two, well with my count Chelsea could have had 4-5 goals. Either way you look at it we outclassed Benfica, good going Forward and excellent resilience in Defense. I think we were always going to win at the Bridge, it was just this away tie that was a bit worrying, and now that we've knicked an away goal we will be very hard to beat at the Bridge. You could almost say we've got this in the Bag.

I'm quietly confident for this game.As mentioned above we drew with Tottenham when they were at their best and at White Heart Lane, and now they are on a terrible run and don't look like the same team and it's at the Bridge. We will not only be throwing the Kitchen sink, but the entire Kitchen at them. RDM has clearly said he wants 3 points, Players have Clearly said it, everyone else knows we NEED the 3 points, we HAVE to lift and I think we can. Although Deep down I think we've already lost 4th spot, regardless of the result against Tottenham. We still have to go to Arsenal and Liverpool away. Spurs will have an easier run in, it'll be Miraculous if we end up getting 4th spot, AVb should have been sacked much earlier so we could have gotten our season on track much earlier...

There's no need for both Hulk AND Falcao. Yes it seems like a nice and Fantasy like idea on paper but buying more forwards wont solve our problems entirely, one new ST is all we really need in terms of Forwards. Torres has to go, he has not scoted enough goals and frankly it seems like he will never be a great striker again, IF we can get some decent money for him we need to sell. I know some will feel that selling him for a loss will be bad but keeping him here and him going on 5 month goal droughts will be far more harmful than a little bad publicity for selling him. It's the other areas that we need to strengthen. It's becoming increasingly clearer with every game against a big team that our midfield is weak and not quite up to scratch. What we need are better Passers and distributors of the ball. Against Citeh i noticed how the likes of Silva, Toure etc can pass the ball accurately, in tight spaces and string together one-two's. We dont relly have that. We need a Modric type player. Mata needs to play in the hole on a permanent basis as soon as we get KDB/ new winger And obviously there's our defense, right now it seems fine, i guess the only position to solidify is RB. All in all we dont need to go out and buy 4,5, even 6 players, all we need is a couple big-ish signings, Maybe a new RB and use our Youth alot more, Lukaku, Josh, Piazon, Kakuta should get a crack

Quality won on the day, just shows that Citeh are Better. We were too sloppy, Meireles was Bad, not enough Spark and Creativity going forward, we just didn't look overly Dangerous.
