  1. Didn't know this at the the time but.. Maldini also revealed he rejected big money moves from some of Europe’s top sides during his time at San Siro. “Juventus wanted me, while Gianluca Vialli called me to Chelsea in 1996, but I preferred to stay with Milan to recover from a disastrous year."
  2. Can definitely see him snubbing us for City.
  3. This match really captured every emotion. Up there with the best I've been to.
  4. Two goals tonight. Tidy finish for the 2nd
  5. We did what we needed to do. Fair play to Wigan though, thought they were decent in spells and 4-1 was slightly harsh on them. But a much needed win for us, finally I can enjoy the weekend and watch MOTD! The guy who sits behind me had £100 on 4-1 with Ramires scoring first and won 7 and a half grand. He nearly had a heart attack when Al Habsi made the double save towards the end - luckily for him it was Torres on the rebound.
  6. They should, or if Frank knows the club won't offer him a new deal he should come out and say he will be leaving. Would put the whole situation to bed.
  7. Classic media ploy, will only attract more hate once the situation is put to bed again Ian McGarry ‏@garbosjOnce again lots of rumours that #CFC have offered Frank #Lamparda new contract. There have been no talks and no offer. Situation the same.
  8. MOTM for me so far. Very impressive seeing as he's just come back from injury.
  9. I couldn't see Mourinho managing in France. Given the type of person he is, I don't see French football or the culture suiting his personality. The guy lives and breathes football, and I don't think the passion in France compares to that of England, Italy, or Germany. Can only see him ending up here or at City. I think City is a biggest possibility.
  10. Yes, his passing is too aggressive at times. Tries the ambitious ball when he could play it simple. But that's more to do with his decision making rather than passing ability.
  11. Hate the comments like 'OmGz iz dis thead gona be bumped evry tiime sturridg£ scoreZz?!' It should be bumped as a reminder of what a bad decision it was. The lad has tons of potential, and he didn't even get much of a chance. By the club and the majority of the fans that is. £12m is a lot of money for him, but he could easily be worth double that.
  12. Regardless of why he went for it, him being rash coupled with Ivanovic being out of position was the turning point in the match.
  13. Of course they count. I said he is to blame also so stop trying to make out I'm saying he's an angel. I thought Torres when he came on did well then faded to the old Torres, and when it was 2-2 me and my dad were on the fence if we should make a change or not. I think Terry coming in did ok with Cahill except for the error leading to their 2nd goal. I don't think Ivanovic should've started at RB.
  14. I turned off the stream with about 10 minutes to go in the Reading game so can't really comment. But losing a two goal lead so late on is unacceptable regardless. Today at 2-1 we looked good, I don't think you can blame Rafa for Terry diving in on the half way line or Ivanovic standing at centre midfield leading to their goal. After the equalizer went in, they had the momentum and we didn't react. I look at our subs bench and there is probably one viable option - Benayoun for Bertrand (No Marin). Individual mistakes and poor individual performances are costing us. I know everyone hates Rafa and he is to blame also, but not as much as you're all making out.
  15. I would say so, yes. It's a difficult situation as he's inherited all of the same problems RDM had. At the start of the season we were awesome, and then teams figured us out which led to the downfall and sacking of RDM (Similar to how Newcastle became incredibly predictable earlier this season).
  16. Not entirely his fault. The board didn't back him in the window and now that will come back to cost us. He can only work with what he has, and our squad isn't good enough, and also incredibly unbalanced. His substitutions (or lack of) have been questionable but today's game could've gone either way. Individual mistakes have cost us far too much recently.
  17. Don't know why he dived in. Ivanovic was also going walkabout and was caught out of position. Just a shame a few individual mistakes have cost us again zzzz
  18. @Leif - Atleast use a spoiler or something!
  19. Just seen today that Rio Ferdinand's contract is up in the summer aswell. Why has so little fuss been made about his situation but the media have been quick to condemn Chelsea over Lampard?
  20. A deep central position alongside Junozovic when not in possession. When attacking Ekici is drifting in from the left and De Bruyne is making late runs from the left.
  21. Interesting to see him playing deeper.
  22. Must also indicate that he has a plan to stop him. The match is on tonight at 7:30 BST, on ESPN for those interested. Shame it's on at the same time as Toulouse vs. PSG.
  23. Think he's trying to say that it's got to the point where people only take notice of the 'popular' members posts and disregard the rest.
