Don't get me wrong, would love for the national team to win the world cup, i'd be exstatic, but I could never replicate the feeling of Chelsea winning the champions league.

I cant imagine a club rivalry to be outside of the same country. Us and Barca rivalry isn't anything more than Milan and Barca. Having a controversial match does not automatically make a BIG rivalry. Should be like the NHL imo. Salary cap for teams should be set at around 70-100mill (maybe more due to the size of the teams) per season per team, depending on what the leagues revenue is. That would change the game something chronic though.
