We all know the ideal role for Cesc is now one that is similar to how Pirlo was being used at Juve in his later years. We have the players to protect him in midfield. Cesc doesn't have the legs to do the dirty work just like Pirlo didn't. His passing and vision is just something you have to utilise, especially when he is one of the only players in the club who actually has genuine world class ability on the ball! Apart from Eden, you will find it hard to select a player who can split open a defence like Cesc does. I do think we should be looking for a player who has Cescs ability on the ball and ability to chase and harras defenders too with high energy. Will not be easy to find such a player but this should be a priorty for our scouts.
