Yay, we won the Czechs 0-1! Not a good performance, but a win is a win.

Petr Cech to undergo a surgery (after this season)
Jype replied to Milan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Sure it does. If he's constantly in pain while playing, it is bound to affect his game at some level when he can't always give his 100% performance because he's scared of hurting himself. Also, depending on how major the surgery will be, it could easily affect our preparation for the next season. -
It's not just your point of view, it's others too. I have had countless of people who are just so blindly in love with Torres accusing me and others of not being proper Chelsea fans because apparently we hate Torres and want him to fail, but that couldn't really be any further away from the truth. That kind of bullshit gets on my nerves.
-
Seriously, what the fuck? I am 100% sure that every Chelsea fan always wishes what's best for the team no matter what, or else they wouldn't be fans of the club. If they think Torres isn't good enough and needs to leave the club or at least stay on the bench in order for us to get the best possible results, that doesn't mean they 'hate him' or 'hope he fails' but that they have simply lost faith in the lad somewhere along the way. It's ridiculous to accuse someone of wanting Torres to fail because he is still a Chelsea player and we always want to see our team do well. I would be deeply offended if someone questioned my feelings towards the club just because I think a member of our team is not good enough to wear the shirt. I have to admit that I'm one of those who have lost faith. For a long time I was fully behind him but at some point last season I began to realize that as much as we all wanted him to do well, playing Torres up front wasn't for the good of the team anymore and we began dropping points every once in a while because we had a striker who couldn't do his job. Based on his recent performances, that faith is slowly starting to return and believe me when I tell you that no one would be happier than me to eat a big slice of humble pie and admit I was wrong to write him off too soon. Until then, I will continue to have my doubts over him but that does not make me any less of a fan than anyone else.

http://www1.skysport..._medium=twitter Yeah right. Real Madrid pulled out of the race very early on because Florentino Perez didn't sanction the move for a player that old and we preferred Azpilicueta in the end, because Maicon's wage demand was reported to be too high and there was also a dispute about the length of the contract. On deadline day Manchester City was definitely the only option for Maicon if he wanted to leave Inter and now they're making it look like he somehow chose Man City over us and Real Madrid. For countless of reasons I'm very glad we signed Azpilicueta instead of this guy and I'm sure most Chelsea fans agree with me so comments like that coming from Maicon's agent are nothing short of ridiculous.

Maybe he can play on the wings too but in Juve's formation Giovinco definitely occupies one of the two attacker positions because their wide players are more of wing-backs rather wingers and there's no way they are playing Seba there. In their first two league games Juve have played Giovinco and Vucinic up front in their 3-5-2 so I see no reason for them to play any differently against us if they don't have any injuries before the game.
-
I think Bendtner isn't going to play because I read somewhere that he has gained too much weight over the summer and now needs more time to get his match fitness back. That leaves them with Giovinco, Vucinic, Matri and Quaqliarella in attack and from those guys I would say we need to be most concerned about Giovinco, he's class.

You mean the style of club management where the clubs are community owned and are basically funded by the government who give free money to the clubs and now they're in deep shit because they can't pay back their debts? Don't know about you but I for one wouldn't fancy something like that becoming more popular among football clubs.
-
Of course not but that doesn't change the fact that we can pretty much count by using our ten fingers the number of people on this planet who wouldn't switch places with him in a heartbeat. If he's not happy playing football or simply hates the media attention surrounding him all the time, what's stopping him from retiring at the age of 27? It's not like he has an obligation to continue playing till he's 35 if he doesn't give a fuck about doing it anymore. The media would soon lose interest and he could move on to live a long and happy life with his family. I'm not underestimating his problems if he indeed does suffer from some sort of depression because I happen to know for a fact how serious that shit can be, but Cristiano is privileged enough to have better solutions to his problems than regular folk.

Dafuq? What new arrivals? As far as I know we didn't buy any defensive midfielders this summer and in fact we let one of those few existing ones leave. Great journalism that one.

No. The ban was reduced after JT appealed.

Bitch please, this is how we roll in the Champions League.
-
A midfield three consisting of Oscar - Mikel - Ramires could be great once Oscar gets more comfortable playing in the Premier League but for now Lampard - Mikel - Ramires is pretty much our best midfield combination. 4-3-3 with those three in midfield and Hazard & Mata constantly alternating positions on the wings could be decent. I don't think a double pivot of Lampard - Ramires would work all that good as both of them like to get forward a lot and that would leave holes in the midfield too often, but Mikel - Ramires would definitely be worth a try sometime if we're sticking with the 4-2-3-1.

That sounds about right, especially the part about drinking beer in the sauna.

I think Luiz deserves a shout too. A likable fellow amongst the team and he's always cheering his teammates to go on if we're having a hard match. Might not be the most reliable defender but I believe he has a good mentality on and off the pitch.

http://news.bbc.co.u...don/4091114.stm That's why. He wasn't convicted but that's hardly a surprise because usually with rape cases the evidence has to be very solid before they can convict someone of such a horrible thing. Obviously it was quickly swept under the rug and never talked about again by the media but there certainly was something shady going on. At the very least he cheated on his wife, the mother of his children, but for some reason he never got any stick over it. Even the Gooners have now finally started to realize what kind of a man Robin really is.

@, sounds like a successful night then! I'll probably be going out tomorrow too with some of my new friends. If last weekend is anything to go by, I may have something to report here as well on Sunday morning.

If the team already had Rooney scoring +20 goals a season for many years now, they sure as hell didn't need Van Persie too after also getting Kagawa. I'm sure their initial plan was to play Rooney up front on his own and Kagawa behind him but when Van Rapist became available, they bought him too as a sign of intent. Basically that means one out of Rooney, Van Persie and Kagawa will always be on the bench but that doesn't seem to be a problem for any of them, whereas we are worried that if we bring even one quality player to compete with Torres, he will once again break in pieces and be shit again. No matter how good he does when he's on form (which btw he hasn't been so far during his time at Chelsea, although things are looking likely to improve at this rate), we simply can't trust a player who can't handle the slightest of competition. What happens when his form drops or he gets a lengthy injury? We would be in the exact same situation where Scumpool were when they trusted Torres too much and that ended up costing them titles when they had to play shit players like David N'Gog every time Torres wasn't available. Not saying Sturridge is shit or anything but by the looks of things he's gone by next season if he feels he isn't trusted enough at Chelsea, and honestly I can't blame him. Who do you suggest we get to replace Danny if he goes? A quality player like Falcao for the good of the team, or a shit player like N'Gog just to keep Torres happy?
-
Rooney scored 27 in the league last season and still they bought Van Persie, because that's what a big club does. If Torres can't handle the competition with another top striker, he doesn't belong to a big club. Not saying we should go for Falcao before first improving other priorities (midfield mostly) but using Torres as an excuse for not doing that doesn't make any sense imo and we really should be looking to do what's best for the team and not what's best for Torres.

Finland - France 0-1, shocking defending from our centre backs. Diaby the goalscorer.

David is captaining Brazil today!

Yes, the draw is pretty much down to luck. It makes one hell of a difference if teams like Norway and Slovenia are drawn to your group from pots 1 and 2 instead of Spain and France which were no doubt the hardest from both pots. The title holder of two previous Euros as well as the WC and an underachieving giant who are better than most teams seeded in the Pot 1. Belarus and Georgia are both beatable even to Finland, but third is the best we can possibly do from this group.
-
Great, hopefully he'll be ready to make his debut at QPR away. Maybe a few games off the bench at first for Marko and then his first start against Wolves in the cup?

My brother, my uncle and my best friend all support United. At least I know three Manure fans who aren't cunts.

The way I see it we have three options with Cole: a one year deal with his current wages matched and yet another season as our first choice left-back, a two year deal with a wage cut and a smaller role or if he won't accept either one of those then he can go next summer when his current deal is expiring. Bertrand is already an excellent player and will keep on improving so I'm not too worried if Cole were to leave.
