  1. Mudryk is making them sweat and making all the right plays. Put on Fofana too and bully them.
  2. The 5 minutes hes been on has been our best 5 minutes attacking all season. Put Fofana on too. Let the lads run.
  3. We need to reward Mudryk when he makes those runs. Badiashile feels like one of the few players that plays direct forward passes. We really need a refresh of this team as the mindset is too slow in build up play. We need quickness.
  4. He was behind the man playing the ball...
  5. Hall and Jorgi in front of the defenders? We're getting 3 put past us.
  6. Fofana and Mudryk to come on after half time and run at them.
  7. Kai gets too much hate. His hold up play and ability to make dangerous runs is very valuable on a team that can actually finish and put balls in the back of the net.
  8. Put him on against City and expect him to do wonders with this team around him lol... Thought he had a good showing in the cup game, hence why I would like to see him a bit more against lower competition and not the best team in football.
  9. Anyone know what happened with Fofana? From reported starting to not seeing any game time? Surely not an injury, but maybe already speaking out too early?
  10. They should have a red and it would be 2-0 if the ref didn't give that BS foul for their keeper.
  11. Literally try and build the attack on the wings in small spaces when its at the half way line... Use the middle of the field... It is the biggest area ffs.
  12. We love building our attack far too high up the field and wide. Just gives them time to settle in the middle and get all the numbers set. We never cut teams up through the middle by getting in between the lines, and then stretching them. Just seems like basic stuff.
  13. Mudryk is a great talent. He actually drives the ball at players and makes them defend. Same with Nkunku and we saw it with Felix as well. We need a mindset shift, and having players like this come in - set the precedent - will also then filter to the guys who won't be starting. I honestly really like the crop of guys we will have upfront for next season (assuming Felix comes as well) - Nkunku, Mudryk, Fofana, Felix, etc. These guys are all lightning quick, but the biggest thing is, they aren't frail. Dynamic players. Our biggest issue is still CM and RB. I like the mixture of Hall, Cucu and Chillwell on the left. I think it will be fine and players will find their feet there. CMs, RB and a CB for next season - and we're set to compete for top 3-4 again and build towards title contention.
  14. I mean - I don't think there are all that great options out there atm, particularly in the areas we need. You can force moves, but as mentioned, you can't turn around an 18 wheeler in one move. All of you made fun of Arsenal as they lumped it for a while, but given time and patience to put in place what they were trying to do, it finally worked. We try for CL this season, and just focus on playing better football and more to the template that Potter has put out. Can't ask for much more this season. Some exciting signings if possible - great. If not - wait until next season.
  15. Sheeesus, all you do is complain. Some of you want a change overnight, yet our whole system, ownership, coach and ethos has changed. You all made fun of Arsenal, but look at them now. Takes some time, and we have far better resources, reputation and money to play with than Arsenal do. If anything TB has shown he isn't scared to spend. It is just getting to a point of being finely curated to fit the method and vision they have in mind. 120 mil for a player who is barely proven. Looks great... But 120 mil. I'm fine if we get him, I'm fine if we don't.
  16. We simply need players that fit the bill with the occasional wonder signing. You can't win all the big signings. Look at Akanji and Grealish for City. Not some wonder signings IMO - but they fit their team nicely. Liverpool has done the same. You all sit her and talk about underrated signing and what a find for other teams, but when we do it - complain because it wasn't the biggest name. The Fofana signing upfront looks brilliant. One thing we never seem to have had since the is robust players IMO. What I mean by that is players that have a bit of everything in terms of skill, pace and physicality. I feel like we are building a team full of it now - or trying to. Fofana (new), RJ, Nkunku, Kova and Cucu to a lesser extent all fit that build. We need someone to replace Kante in a similar vein and it is a really good start to being a quick and powerful team.
  17. He is 21 building his confidence back up. It isn't going to happen overnight, and not like he is 100 games in here showing the same thing. He was getting better and better in his performances before his latest setback.
  18. You guys really need to chill on calling Fofana a bust. Life isn't just black and white - guy came here and unfortunately suffered an injury. Plenty of guys in sports that suffered terrible injuries early on who went on to be men of steel and never got injured throughout their career after early setbacks. He is clearly very talented too.
  19. Fuck City - bunch of mugs. Anyway, Gvardiol looks world class. Absolute boss at the back. So composed for a 20 year old. Need to get him.
  20. Fofana is injured, and KK will look better once we have some midfield cover. For as much as great defenders are great defenders, they also need a decent midfield. Not saying KK is what he was a while back, but he still can be decent.
  21. Time. Time. Time. Can we give it some? Look at Brighton and what they do. They are the only team to have more possession than City this season and they play beautiful football. It didn't happen overnight. Building a brand of football that gives you a higher propensity to win games is not going to happen quickly, otherwise every team would do it. I personally don't want to go back to the days of Mou where we had a decent team, but played defensively, won games against the other big teams, and we acted like top shit. Give Potter some time to make the changes, scope the team out and work his thought process and tactics in. We weren't doing anything this season regardless.
  22. I'm not really worried about KK or Cucu to be honest. Our defence will look much better as soon as the midfield is sorted out. We conceded from a set piece which forced us to open up a bit more against the best team in the world. I was impressed by the performance from a build up perspective, showed some good signs when we needed to. Cucu and KK will look better with a more solid midfield. Cucu isn't some terrible player like you guys are making out. Brighton went to City and despite losing are the only team to have more possession than City. Give Potter time, and he will instil that in these players and new signings - and Cucu was a part of that style, so he should latch on nicely. Reality is - this will take time. You guys are expecting overnight miracles. This was a step in the right direction despite the result. Not too long ago we were completely outplayed by both United and Arsenal at home. Hall is a bright spot as well.
  23. He was... that is the reality. Crazy how they all somehow become shit here. The middle of the ground isn't doing anything to link up or help these guys build. That is a plain fact, and the reason the ball ping pongs around from defence to attack with nothing in between. It doesn't help that James is injured who helps in this regard when he drifts middle, and it most certainly doesn't help that Kante isn't playing who was our wall in the middle.
