Team is lazy. No one is bothering to get into passing lanes for teammates and create angles for passes. Then somehow they are also out of position defensively. Mentality problem. Bunch of young guys with no leader who don't want to work hard.

If Caicedo is going to be on an island by himself surrounded by 4 opposition players, we are wasting our $100 mil midfielders. Everything is slow and there is no link up. Either get better defenders who step up into the midfield to help or play with 3 in the middle.

This two man midfield is just ass. It always has been. Get a partner next to Caicedo and play Enzo slightly in front. Then 3 front men. We get bypassed in the middle on defence, and are too slow offensively.

Exactly. This is an attitude and motivation issue. You don't go from being 2nd in the league to this shit because you aren't good enough.

Cop out excuse. Our players are fine. Teams like Nottingham and a bunch of others are flying. Attitude is the issue. Expected with a young team. We really do need some older heads in there to teach these players a thing or two. The attitude is rotten.

Garnacho is a fine player - but yeah - like others have said he isn't a need if you look at the team. It was a good move getting Trev back for as much as people want to slag management. They admit their mistakes quickly, and get it done. We are still having failures, but we fail fast and get better.

I - unlike others on here - don't think the keeper or striker market is all that great. It was last season when Duran was available for cheap and a few others. Now there are inflated prices. 80% of people on here were screaming for VO and look at the level he is now. Imagine if we got him. Its not like this is ancient history, so the sentiment was easy to remember, but people were talking all kinds of shit if we ended up getting Duran or Gyokeres. Now apparently they are the answer. I hate this nonsense hindsight "I am right" view most take on here. We're heading upwards. We are playing better and have an identity (we know the type of football we can expect in terms of style). We are scoring goals and could score more. We know, and I'm sure the sporting directors know where the issues are - there have been talks about CBs for a while now, and it is clear they will sort it come next season as they follow through on what they talk about. Like what is the issue? No one here is patient at all, and we act like we didn't just have recent success in 2021. It isn't an easy job to turn around a ship of overpaid players, coming off transfer bans, a coach that was letting his personal problems slip into the team, and completely rebuilding the team. We have two top 5 young talents in the world with Cole and Estevao. We have a fantastic midfield. Our offence is potent for the most part already. You'd think we're Manchester United with doom and gloom further on the way if you read this board. Fuck me dead.

I agree with him. Its easy to have blinders on after a bad keeping display - but even recently he has saved us more than he has hurt us. Again - I don't think he is the long term answer, but he hasn't been nearly as bad as people make out.

It happens. Nothing is guaranteed. We still don't look great but have to turn it around. I still think we play better against the better teams.

Sesko just doesn't look all that great. But whatever... People will act like its finally a striker signing - and then he flops and they will blame the board again for overspending. Everything you read on here is reactionary and spoken completely as if hindsight was available at the time. Its just mind numbing more so than coping with a few losses.
