  1. Last season this would have worried me, but assuming everyone is fit we could still play Cech Ivanovic Luiz Terry Cole Ramires Mikel De Bruyne Oscar Hazard Rooney And still have a bench comprising of 7 from Schwarzer, Cahill, Kalas, Bertrand, Van Ginkel, Lampard, Essien, Ake, Schurrle, Moses, Lukaku, Ba Happy days
  2. Good to know that Mourinho really rates him though ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer10hMourinho: "Chalobah, we are thinking will go on loan for one last season. That's our intention, he knows, we discussed that with him" #CFC ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer10hMourinho on Chalobah (1/4): "He's a very, very good player and I like him very, very much. I am very impressed" #CFC ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer10hMourinho on Chalobah (2/4): "For sure he is a Chelsea player [but] he has to play every weekend for the last year of his loan period" #CFC ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer10hMourinho on Chalobah (3/4): "We think he is there. He could be in our squad already" #CFC ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer10hMourinho on Chalobah (4/4): "But we think one more season and his last season on loan, because he's very good" #CFC
  3. I would love to say something constructive, but have to say that first paragraph is just ridiculous. Either you need to rewatch both games, or you're very confused. Van Ginkel's been the midfielder who sits and has done his job perfectly fine. Nothing spectacular, but just very tidy with the odd glimpse. You said you're not passing judgement, but have already judged that his 'technique is awful' and his 'vision is bad'. I doubt you have anything against MVG, but it sure sounds like you do.....
  4. Not sure what your issue with Van ginkel's passing is, but it's been perfectly fine these last two games. Van Ginkel is also a much more complete player. Josh has magnificent passing but it takes much more than being a great passer of the ball to make it in the premier league in Josh's position. Van Ginkel may not be as good at passing, but on everything else he's ahead of Josh imo. Same as Chalobah
  5. His style really reminds me of Ballack. What's also great is how he's got a football brain already at such a young age. Knows when he must sit back and when he can go forward. Tough tackler too. Quite impressed
  6. Pretty sure he's going on loan. Steve Holland said 6 will return to England for the America tour and that'll include Chalobah along with Mceachran, Feruz, Wallace, Traore and Piazon. If he goes on loan and performs well then I'm pretty sure he'll come into the squad for the 2014/15 season to replace Lamps/Essien
  7. Dylan Fahy ‏@dylan_fahy12h #Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis: "We are working for Gonzalo Higuaín, but Chelsea have offered a lot more."
  8. http://www.sportal.de/sport-bild-luiz-gustavo-darf-bayern-verlassen-1-2013071728658900000 Available for a transfer apparently
  9. Fair play to Man United's PR team. After a week of Jose and Chelsea players trying to turn Rooney's head and unsettle him, they've all of a sudden flipped it back on us and whipped the Chelsea fanbase up into frenzy. Very clever tactics
  10. Bit of a weird debate here considering when Oscar does play centrally he naturally drops deep to pick up the ball and doesn't play like a traditional number 10 mainly in the final third. Would even go as far as saying when he plays centrally we end up taking the shape of a hybrid 433 system. That role as the most advanced midfielder in a 433 would suit him perfectly, it's playing him in the 'pivot' which is debatable
  11. Am I missing something with this guy? Just looks a decent player. Nothing more
  12. Although Van Ginkel isn't a DM as such he played quite well with Strootman at the U21 championships. Whenever Strootman ventured forward he stayed back in the centre of the park and acted as the DM and vice versa
  13. Would be great having Ramires, Van Ginkel, De Rossi, Oscar and Lampard and maybe Romeu as our CM options next season with Chalobah hopefully taking over from Lampard the season after
  14. Dutch Football ‏@DutchftLeague According to de Telegraaf: Mourinho has no desire to loan out van Ginkel. He sees Marco as a replacement for Lampard. #cfc #chelsea
  15. http://www.mtnfootball.com/europe/epl/news/2013/june/09-mourinho-okays-omeruo-for-chelsea.html Says he's coming back next season
  16. Because it's clear that we're going for a out and out striker, i.e. (Cavani, Falcao, Lewandowski, Yilmaz, Gomez) and then a versatile forward (Hulk, Schurrle, Jovetic). Even though he's played as a striker at times this season for Fiorentina, Jovetic very much falls into that second category rather than the first, hence why he's an alternative signing to Schurrle. You also can't say he'd be coming here as a squad player because for all we know Jose might be planning to play Oscar in a deeper role, send De Bruyne on loan again, Mata outwide etc so there'd be a good chance he'd start
  17. Rory Smith ‏@RorySmithTimes19m Sorry, that wasn't clear. Jovetic likely for Chelsea. Not quite sure how he fits in, I've got to admit. Lovely player, though. Probably our alternative because Leverkusen are taking too long
  18. http://www.turkish-football.com/news_read.php?id=4712 Galatasary opened talks with Mikel
  19. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8742525/Transfer-news-Hulk-s-agent-claims-two-Premier-League-clubs-keen-on-striker The saga is back on
  20. De Rossi needs a new challenge. He's become too comfortable at Roma being the highest earner in Serie A. A new challenge, in a new league working under Mourinho I think would bring that spark back into his game which he still does show when playing for Italy.
  21. Is he a CB than can play next to Luiz? Or does he have similar qualities to Luiz?
  22. Or I just took it from the fact that you just said 'but Zola has shown in this game, the Leicester away game and the Leeds game that he's not got many ideas' - So you've just said he hasn't got many ideas based on those three games. You can keep your cookie.
  23. So you've based your opinion on three games? What about the other 45 games he's managed for Watford? Or the fact that Watford have been one of the highest scorers in England this? Or the fact that they had one of if not the best away record in the Championship this season? You blasted people on here earlier for basing they're opinion of Chalobah on one game, when you've virtually just done the same yourself basing this opinion of Zola's managerial ability on 3 games out of around 46 matches
