  1. If Levy doesn't let him leave now then he really is a right c#nt, I understand he has a contract with Spurs, but footballers career is short lived and why should alert deny him the right to achieve as much as he can as a player
  2. FIFA laws prevented us from loaning Lukaku out this season I'm afraid, you can't play for more than two clubs in one season! I still think he will be a great success.
  3. This is the most ridiculous post I've seen! How are they failing at running the club? Football is the core of the business that is CFC so of course they will be involved. Chelsea is constantly looking to improve their squad which is why we spend more on bringing players in than letting players go. We have constantly attracted world class players with European and International experience and still people complain, it really does make me sick!
  4. Fair enough, I still think its nothing more than just a rumor at this stage
  5. Obviously depending on what the transfer fee would be for Hulk, why would you think he would not be a good signing out of interest sake?
  6. Hulk is nothing but a rumor and Lukaku was signed as an 18 year old prodigy for the future, hardly a bad signing, I'm quite sure he will need a few more years before he is the finished article and I recall most Chelsea fans wanting that signing to happen! So your argument is pretty invalid if you ask me
  7. Seeing as you say they should learn from signings like Torres, then may I ask what problem you have with the signings they have made since Torres? Because I honestly think they have made some great ones since January last year. Signing players is only one part of what the board do they should be appreciated for everything they do.
  8. Again, I agree with you, as a player it probably was a bad move, however in terms of selling shirts, tickets and increasing revenue, great signing so in that aspect I say well done to The CEO for that piece of 'Business'
  9. No, what I'm saying is that signing players and transfers is a lot more complicated in real life than on Fifa12. Not all players are available at the right price and Chelsea are after elite players, a very small pool of players that can improve the squad, very difficult to do deals for these players. I'm sure managers have input on signings but lets be honest they don't have time to be scouting and negotiating deals.
  10. I never said Torres was a great signing, I said from a business perspective the signing of Torres made a lot of sense, that is what a CEO does, he is there to run a business. That being said he hasn't been nearly good enough as a player I agree, although I'm sure we will think he is worth ever cent if he scores the winner on Saturday.
  11. I think it could work if Torres plays in the position Ramires did for the semis, next to Mata just behind the stiker on the right and tracks back, instead of the two up front together.
  12. Scouts find players, the board negotiates deals, the manager does what Modern managers are supposed to do, which is get the best out of the squad of players he has!
  13. Torres probably was Roman's wish, that being said, Ancelotti was always a big admirer of him! From a business perspective, Torres was a great signing, we have probably recuperated a fair amount of what was paid for him and he has been used to grow the club's brand as he is a very marketable player. I agree, not all signings have been perfect, however I think Gourlay is definitely moving in the right direction and he seems very honest and open with letting the fans know what is happening with the club. It really does sadden me to see this sort of thing being brought up days before what could be the greatest moment in the club's history, I can see why some have labelled Chelsea fans as ungrateful.
  14. Not at all, I think he has done wonderful work with recent signings, as well as attracting a high quality youth, just look at our recent record in the FA Youth Cup. He seems to be on top of running Chelsea as a business, growing the clubs brand and image and finances seem to be heading in the right direction with revenues seemingly on the increase despite the current economic climate! I really don't see why fans think he has done anything wrong and the blame is completely unjustified.
  15. Hope Malouda is fit, would be great having his experience on the bench, him having played in both a Champions League and World Cup final!
  16. I think Gourlay as well as the rest of the board are doing a tremendous job and should be applauded and not disrespected so ungratefully in this manner!
  17. I will believe that when I actually see him standing next to Mancini or Fergie with his name on the back off the respective Manc shirt
  18. Do I think Hulk is a very good player, yes. Is he worth the kind of money Porto will demand for him, no. Is he better than Hazard, who will probably cost less, no. Is he perhaps a tad hyped because his nick name is Hulk and this obviously markets him well, absolutely!
  19. I think they should keep all three shirts similar in design to each other just changing the colors, black with gold perhaps?
  20. While I agree with whole heartedly, he has not been good enough tis season. I just feel that he Has shown glimpses of what he can do, I also agree that while the service excuse is getting old, I genuinely think Chelsea's problem lies within he midfield, it would be drastic to let him go at this stage, sort out the midfield, get him some supply, and if he still doesn't perform then sure, let him go! Falcao is an excellent player, however I feel the he too will struggle at Chelsea unless we sort out the midfield issues
  21. I hear you, I just feel that Ramires has done enough to warrant being given a starting spot on the right next season and would rather spend strengthening other areas
  22. Care to elaborate on this, or do you not have a valid point to make?
  23. Sam is a back up right back to be used when the starting right back is injured, that doesn't make sense seeing as Sam himself is very injury prone
  24. Perhaps if the rest of the team passed the ball to Torres he would score more, we would lose a lot of money on this deal, still think Torres can be world class again, and we need players in other areas, not at striker
