Let's wait and see how he gets on in a big pond wherever he goes.

I know it's business sense but I can't be arsed with this hawking our players in continents to "open markets" or sell shirts. It's a bit whorey and to some extent plays a race card. Am I here because I'm good or am I here because I'm Japanese/Korean/Chinese etc and I'll get a game when we're on Sky, just don't like it (and I know that's the way it is - doesn't mean I have to like it or agree with it)

I said in another post that we will be fine. Other great players have come and gone. He has been rewarded well for largely excellent service - that's the deal. I've supported this club for over 40 years and I know many will barely know the club without Drogba but we will manage. I don't think a stand being named after him is appropriate or any other special recognition. He has the love of the Chelsea fans and he knows that. We can't go retiring numbers or naming stands after every great player we have or have had. He was unlayable and unstoppable at times but if it's right for him and us to part then so be it - cheers big man, now who's next.
-
He'll be missed that's for sure. So have many many more before and we have managed. He has been an excellent servant for us most of the time and he has been rewarded so. All good things come to an end and it's probably the right time for him to go all round. When you've got 42 years as a fan under your belt you get used to greats comig and going. I relise many here wil not really have known a Chelsea without Drogba, but trust me we will be fine.
-
Wait and see how he gets on in the EPL, how many wonderkids have gone tits up in abigger pond - if he comes fine, if he doesn't fuck him - he's not Chelsea
-
We've managed thus far without him - if we get him fine, if we don't fine, his loss if he goes elsewhere

Don't think anyone has done it harder, truly deserve this mantle - best team in Europe, never said die, always believed we'd win. Beat Barca and the others then beat Bayern in their own place, never meant to win this, were always going to. 25 corners they don't score, we need two - we're better than you, we'r better than everyone
-
We are not fucking glory hunters, we are Chelsea FC. To buy success you need a team to start with, we are not Man Citeh. The heart and mind of this team was not bought it was born and made in Stamford Bridge.

In near tears -which isn't like me - waht did make me cry was a text from my daughter who is studying in Germany. She texted me to say she is now a confirmed Blues fan. It has taken 21 years but she is here now. This is the moment I had in 1970. God bless her and Chelsea. -

Where will you be during the Champions League Final?

Ohhhh I wish you hadn't said that, never crossed my mind and I only have council telly, pub it may be then..... -
We miss Wilkins and Clarke more than we will ever know for this as well as many other things. Many star players have howlers of first or second seasons, even when they are bought as established stars. Torres was never a bad buy as he was World class and proved it. He took his time settling in to say the least but he may be coming on to it. Conversely you can ruin a good player by buying him and not playing him, paying him a fortune then have him put it up his nose. I think the trick is buying quality and using it and/or bring on AND playing quality youth. We don't want another Bosnich or watch another Jody Morris freefall to the lower ranks of the SPL - just my thoughts..

Awww....as a Chelsea fan you will never be short of a mate - I'll become your frienD here, once I work out how to do it !! I have a good few mates but only four friends including my wife - I find that's enough. People who have hundreds of Facebook friends for instance are kidding themselves. They might vaguely know someone who was at school with their second cousin, but theyre not friends. Be your own man (or woman) and you'll get by without hangers on who will just give you grief anyway. True friends are rare, but you don't need many. This is the place for mates though. BITC -

MIGHT , just MIGHT got to a bluenose pub to watch it. Watched the last one in a 'neutral' surounded by Mancs - had to walk out before I said/did something that would have gotten me into bother. Probably in the house flicking over every time they getthe ball with one eye on ceefax on another telly. Lesson learned in the last Old Firm game v the Scum. I never watch them as I get too involved. I'm following it, we're 3-0 up against 10 men with 5 minutes to go - what can go wrong... I turn it on and the unwashed score twice in two minutes. So lesson learned - I will be keeping one eye on it. I have the ability to watch replays and get just as excited so when we win I'll get my moneys worth. -
There has only ever been one worthy of the Chelsea No 9 shirt - others may borrow it but Peter owns it

I take it you're joking
