Genuinely very pleased at this bit of business - a good, hard working, seemingly level headed young man who already knows where the goal is in big EPL games. Cheap at half the price and has great potential for us. Good he passed his medical, I expected him to fail it and sign anyway. He seems pleased to be here, is respectful and looks suitably hungry for some game time. I think he'll be sub for a few games, wipe the floor with Torres then TFW won't have any option but to play him from the start. I'd be quite happy with him, he's young, can get fitter and healthier with us, scores in big games and is on the up if he comes to us. I thought they got him for a steal and they're not being overly greedy - not that big a punt when you consider what we've squandered in players before

Aye a good player and w e miss him. He is not by some distance though the best Chelsea player ever. In his era he was one of a few equally outstanding players - Lampard, Makelele, Terry, Cech, Zola and Cole to name some. In Chelsea history though he is only one of very many outstanding players

Fantastic stuff here - fine memories of great times. I was a 7 year old on holiday in Doncaster and everyone was supporting Leeds so my cousin and I went for Chelsea (we're that kind of family) got our wee arses kicked from one end of the street to the other.
