  1. It could have been a mix of both.. since it's a personal matter, there's no way to know for sure if his wife had anything to do with it.
  2. Well worth a thought. I also don't bother reading the match thread on match day, it's usually chaos in there. During the game I stay away from it for good, I only go for post-match thoughts and I try to wait until heat of the moment emotions are cooled off.
  3. Hi! damn.. we really need to make that nationality list suggested in the other Nepalese thread who is your favourite player?
  4. Thank Frank Arnesen for blocking Borini from 1st team... good news is that Arnesen isn't part of Chelsea anymore, good riddance.
  5. Isn't Webb considered to be the best ref in England? Or at least I think he was. I think he refd the final in the WC or Euros... and wasn't he the one to give a player 3 yellow cards in a game?
  6. would you consider him to be a favourable ref only for us or is he a competent referee in general? I've seen his name mentioned here a few times in a positive light... and googling him, I found a bunch of pictures showing him in a photoshopped Chelsea shirt I guess that goes to show something.
  7. I've never really cared about who referee matches, I just like to concentrate on football. But since recently we have been hit with many dubious refs and they influence directly our results, then I can't help but notice that most referees get stick on this forum.. rarely or never do I see any preference on who should ref the game and who fans actually like. In short words what I'd like to do is for the community to make some sort of list of refs who are in your opinion anti-Chelsea, pro-Chelsea, good neutral refs or just shit but honest refs (a la Foy maybe, he seems to fuck up all of his matches). So, who do you think holds grudge against us, who do you think is a favourable ref for us? If you can, bring examples on why they are considered bad/good. And general discussion about refs can be here too, I don't mind. I'm just curious because I've never really taken interest in this subject and I can barely name referees... I only remember the bad ones So I think it's safe to say that our blacklist contains Ovrebo, Foy and Webb for obvious reasons.. I'll let you more knowledgeable people fill me in with the rest.
  8. that kind of statement will not make the new captain feel welcome or comfortable.. the way it's been handled is a joke, no interaction between FA and Capello whatsoever, how is that even possible. The english sabotage their own team, and then search for outside influence to blame.
  9. He didn't miss, it was even worse than that, he couldn't get a shot away... when he was through on goal I was already half celebrating, but then I went like
  10. He played 90 minutes.. superhuman effort if you ask me
  11. wow, it looks weird in mirror... for those who don't know - the cross actually came from the right, and the whole video is mirrored.
  12. AVB seriously looks as if he'd been crying or wanted to at the beginning
  13. It's Sturridge. Anyway, I'm not pessimistic over this game.... Everton have very little creativity, they're struggling and they have no Saha. With the right approach we should take 3pts.
  14. I like Jamie, he's honest and has good opinions... and I'm surprised by Neville too, because most of the times when I've seen him talk/analyse, he's been fair.
  15. Tbh Chelsea have never been a club to hold managers long-term... I think I heard somewhere that our longest serving manager was for 4 years (not counting the pre-historic times), correct? even pre-Roman in PL we had many different managers. It just seems to be the way of the club no matter who the owner is. Wikipedia says we had 5 managers from 1988 to 2003. Long term for us is ~3 years, and it can be argued it's not enough.
  16. I hope he enjoys his own goal which denied his team 3 points
  17. Agreed... him, Cahill and Mata were the best for me. Still can't decide who I will vote for.
  18. well, when I first turned on my stream, I thought it was Terry playing... only to see it's a 24 not a 26. Their style is so similar. He is in contention to vote for MotM, simply because it felt like he had been playing for us ages, and the shot at the end was oh so close.
  19. His dive almost resulted in a Mata goal from free-kick... had it gone in, he should have got the assist for it It did remind me of a dolphin a bit, Webb was just donkey enough to fall for it.
  20. Did Ferdinand get officially the own goal? I'd love that... of course I'd love Luiz to get that too, but that cunt deserves the embarrassment.
  21. 80 million pounds would help a lot of struggling countries. The whole Chelsea team has cost probably more than my country's annual budget... ok, maybe it's not that bad, but it helps me put the money in football into perspective.
  22. I rely on you to post his post-match interview once it's up
  23. it took me time to understand what he meant under "Valencia runs riot" confusing name he has
