  1. Prior shit decisions don't make another shit decision excusable. The one on Pulisic was imo 100% foul, the guy didn't get the ball and clipped Puli's foot. The second one was handball, although not sure if it warranted a yellow... but I thought he got that yellow for mouthing the ref off? Otherwise why did the ref wait so long to give it?
  2. Out of all our youngsters, I think Reece has the highest chance of nailing down a starting spot for years to come even if we change managers.
  3. 4 minutes ET? Who bribed the ref? One substitution is automatic 30 seconds added (6 subs = 3 mins). Then we had this several minute goal celebration and VAR debacle, 2 red cards and other stoppages... and the guy adds only 1 minute??? It should have been 7 mins as an absolute minimum. But wtf were we doing in defence a lot of the times? And then can't score 2 past 9 men in ~25 minutes... not what I expected from this chels. This was a one-off freak game though so let's forget it quickly.
  4. What's up with everybody writing in such a retarded way lately? Been seeing this annoyance all over the internet lately.
  5. Jorginho-Busquets Kovacic-Iniesta Gilmour-Xavi ?
  6. It does look like Sarri's 4-3-3 didn't suit him. That, plus he's had time to adapt and obviously Frank is a brilliant coach who improves his players.
  7. The article is behind a paywall, but judging by the snip you posted, then the whole presumption of that article is that the journo knows what Lampard's instructions were. He doesn't, so a waste of time.
  8. Has there been any word that Rüdi's fit? According to physioroom he's not fit until beginning of Nov. Otherwise yeah of course he should start if he can. One problem with my line-up though is that this midfield is too short.
  9. Kante should be fit, so perhaps rest Jorginho and play a Kante Gilmour midfield. Reece and Emerson should also start. Caballero James - Zouma - Tomori - Emerson Kante - Gilmour Pedro - Pulisic - CHO Bats
  10. CHO? His performances have been nothing special, he is far from displacing Mount who at the moment is an integral player.
  11. Arsenal, Man Utd not winning and draw between Spurs Liverpool would be perfect today.
  12. What about his super save from that deflection before? I would rather talk about that as I thought it was an immense save to make, already dove left but was able to react with his hand to the ball's changed direction. Regarding Jay's goal, it would have had to be another super save, can't get too greedy.
  13. What an incredible performance! Except for the last 10 minutes or so when the team showed its inexperience, but it doesn't matter when we score more. Pulisic with a monster performance, the first perfect hattrick since Drogba ~9 years ago. Was very pleased with Reece when he came on, did well on both ends. Disappointed with CHO, thought he couldn't do anything right and his introduction coincided with our worst period in the game. Kovacic and Jorginho, another dominant performance. What a midfield we have on our hands!
  14. If you need to move the picture frame by frame and draw some lines to determine if it was off or not, then it's not obvious, then they are level and benefit should be played to attacker.
  15. He was struggling with minor injuries, got a knock on international duty and wasn't risked to start against relegation fodder. Before he had Kante ahead of him, doesn't mean Lampard doesn't rate Kova, just means he rates Kante more. I am sure Frank is loving his midfield options.
  16. Wholeheartedly agree. I thought VAR would be great and was long overdue, but it's being overused to the point it's becoming ridiculous. I support giving the attacking team the benefit of doubt when it's close.. so close that it's even hard to tell with technology. If it's not obvious, let it go, football is about scoring goals, not measuring centimetres on screens. I thought Ajax were hard done by.
  17. In light of this... Kepa Azpi - Zouma - Tomori - Alonso (no other choices as they are our only fit defenders) Jorginho - Barkley (Barkley has to step it up if Kovacic can't make it) Willian - Mount - CHO Tammy
  18. Only if you are Pirlo or Scholes... they were considered top top players for a reason, not every technical regista is from their class. In fact such players are quite rare, this is why you can name only a handful of them, who have deservedly become football legends.
  19. It would still be this way if Lampard wasn't the manager. Every other manager would marginalize the youngsters and they wouldn't even be in conversation as depth options. Otherwise, if you looked at our squad before season's start, not many would say we had great quality in depth after Hazard's and Luiz's departures. Even Jorginho and Kovacic were slaughtered before; Tomori wasn't considered anywhere near starting quality; Tammy, Mount were big question marks too - but look at them now. Lamps has created those options himself and I couldn't be happier with his work so far.
  20. I agree. Last mid-season I thought defensively the game moved past him too much, there was too much reliance on Kante to bail him out. Starting from last season's end and improving upon that up to this point, he is definitely more involved in defensive phase and isn't seen as a liability anymore.
  21. This is bread and butter of tabloids, other outlets cover worse and more serious things. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
