  1. Filipe Luis. We could so use him right about now.
  2. It's hilarious that according to those newspapers whether Conte stays or not comes down to only Lukaku, not even Belotti or Morata would cheer him up The journos aren't even trying to come up with something believable anymore. King 'Tonio will start and finish the season with us, mark my words.
  3. In a 4-4-2 (4-2-4 like it's hip to call it now) you don't have a CAM. Kante and Bakayoko would make up the midfield as the 2 hard-working machines, creativity comes from the wings.
  4. It's significantly less than the reported 100m they wanted. Edit: wanted to quote xptercechx, didn't work. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  5. If we now go on to get Llorente and one of Belotti, Morata or Aubameyang I would be happy. Anything below that and we have downgraded.
  6. They probably used Rooney to cut the price down. We had no leverage and thus probably should have paid more than 75M, which we clearly aren't ready to do.
  7. For those of you who didn't know there was an interview, like I didn't...
  8. Such fucking bullshit. Go to the first page of this thread and you will see that this exact same thing was reported back in 2014, NOT ahead of this transfer. Is this quote true or not? I don't know, but they are trying to make it seem like he just said it. Metro is scum.
  9. Hahaha they are so late to the party.
  10. What makes you think we didn't test the waters, hit a brick wall and decided not to go back to waste our time?
  11. Wasn't Aurier ousted from PSG team because he threw his toys out the pram for some reason? What was the case, somebody remind me pls?
  12. You can think what you want about City's board, planning and team, but despite all that they have underachieved massively and we are by far the more successful club. Doing things wrong has got us ahead, I wouldn't take City as an example in anything.
  13. Arsenal doing some good business. Kolasinac (free) and Lacazette are great captures that will improve them. If they manage to keep Sanchez and Özil, they might just get into top 3.
  14. Aren't they known for being cheap though? City, Bayern, even we could offer him bigger wages. I could somewhat understand him staying for his last season, but to renew his contract in that dead-end club? I would be shocked too.
  15. Wtf? If that's true, I don't get it, how can Arsenal pull that off after having a catastrophe of a season? Okay we kept all our stars after that horrible season, but with us you don't get the feeling that we'll stay there. With Arsenal, on the other hand, you do. No CL football, even if there were their track record would presume another humiliation early in knockout stages (if they got there). No chance of winning the league, maybe a lucky domestic cup that has no pull on foreign players at all. How?
  16. Di Marzio said recently it was done, now a few details are remaining. Not reliable anymore? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  17. "Edging closer" - this phrase has been used so many times over the past few weeks. Chelsea must have a really bad case of blue balls by now.
  18. I already commented on that.
  19. How do you know this? All reports, reliable and unreliable, are stating that he wants to come. If it's an educated opinion, I would like to hear what you base that opinion on in more depth.
  20. Ah yes, we loaned Torres eventually, but solely because he was so shit that nobody else wanted or could afford him full time. We basically sold him to Milan with delay, so doesn't really count. Rüdiger needs to be Cuadrado/Torres level shit to be loaned out, and this season it won't happen 100%. PS Baba is another 30 million guy who was loaned out, but again it's because he was shit. All of those players were bought with first team football in mind, as will Rüdiger.
  21. Thanks. Also, there must be a reason why we were prepared to pay more for Rüdiger than take Manolas for less. It's clear as day to me we were never really interested in Manolas and simply exploited the situation involving him. Roma preferred to offload Manolas ahead of Rüdiger - that should also tell something.
