Welcome, welcome. The 2009/10 membership will last throughout next season, and expires on the 31st of May. It gives you priority access to tickets and also £5 off, which is great in the long run. The club do offer a sort of introduction pack to Chelsea in the form of a more expensive membership package, but these are generally quite poor in all honesty; there isn't all that much in there. If you're new to the club I would suggest that for your first few games that you sit in the West Stand or East Stand just so you can get the feel of the stadium, and then venture towards the more atmospheric Shed End and Matthew Harding Stand as you become a little more confident in going to Chelsea matches.

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club
BlueLion. replied to .Cee's topic in Transfer Archives
Both players are absolutely brilliant. But they're both completely different types of strikers; you wouldn't compare Davies and Torres, yet both are effective in their respective roles. I do feel Benzema would suit our system moreso, but Aguero's fucking awesome, to put it bluntly. -
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL at this rumour

I've always rated Malouda, he put these performances in week in, week out at Lyonnais. I believe he's had bad man management in all honesty. He was great under Jose and scored a few goals, but as soon as Grant came in, and then Scolari, his form was spasmodic and the odd goal and assist was his only contribution. Been fucking brilliant since about February though - when Hiddink came in. Mourinho and Hiddink have good man management skills - Grant and Scolari didn't. I hope Carlo Ancelotti does.

Classic! No worries, Jim, thanks for the info.

So, the results are in. I've added them up, and we now have the eagerly-awaited (or not) results for the TalkChelsea forum awards for 2008/09. Note; I've had to combine certain different nominations for the Best International and Best British Member awards; it would appear some people need to brush up on their geography I've also added a 'People's Choice' award for the member with the most nominations this year. Well done to all the winners, and also every nominee! You'll see some very tight categories this year, and also some that were one-horse races - literally. Drogba: I will accept UEFA punishment
BlueLion. replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Ancelotti also really wanted Drogba to come to Milan last summer; he clearly likes the player. Hopefully this is a start of a great relationship between player and manager. -
Spot on, let's see what he can do come pre-season and the Community Shield, and then the start of the Premier League. Then, after that, we can start to slag off him off

As it happens, I can speak fluent French, d'accord? Please keep it friendly chaps, and Badboy, this is an English-speaking forum - if you are going to write in Dutch, please also post the English translation as well; not many of us here speak Ducth
-
Fine him, it'll make him even more of a Chelsea legend! Somehow...
-
In retrospect, it would have been nice for the neutral to see Everton win the Cup; it would have done well to upset the 'Big Four Dominance.'
-
At Milan, he basically managed the team Berlusconi chose and did relatively well, in my opinion. Whether he can win the League in his first season is a different question altogether, but I am certainly going to get behind him - it might take us a year or two but there is no doubting he is a good manager. I hope the club actually gives him time, unlike Scolari.
-
Love the new banner Jim, especially the 'Thanks Guus' bit. Top work mate.
-
Actually I think he's been quite consistent recently. Scored a few important goals this year, too. Not a bad player to have in the squad, has plenty of experience.
-
I reckon it's just a role that incase the next manager is shit, we bring him back
