  1. This is fantastic. I can already picture Perez' face as Puyol lifts the La Liga title for the second year in a row.
  2. Far too much. In comparison to other top teams in England, we're in a relatively good position, financially.
  3. Yeah, luckily I had £18 on my membership card so got them for a discount
  4. Milan need the money, we need to players. Its a good situation to be in.
  5. No-one moans how United spent in excess of £50 million before this season, its simply jealousy.
  6. Forlan is much, much older, and we all know how his time in the EPL went. I'd actually prefer to sign Aguero to Benzema for the simple reason he will cost less. KB is the better all-round striker in my opinion, but Aguero is a player very much in the Crespo mold and would suit us to the core.
  7. Some really great stuff on the Chelsea Megastore.
  8. Doesn't stop people waxing lyrical abot Mourinho, still.
  9. Reckon he could be a fantastic defender tbh, he's certainly made of the right stuff. Reminds me of Nesta, in terms of his defending.
  10. We can't really slag off Madrid when we were doing exactly the same thing a few years back.
  11. Achtung Baby - U2 Morning Glory - Oasis Blood Sugar Sex Magik - Red Hot Chili Peppers Audioslave - Audioslave Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine There Is Nothing Left To Lose - Foo Fighters Nevermind - Nirvana
  12. Best of luck to him; he's a brilliant coach.
  13. Thank you very much, it's greatly appreciated mate!
  14. Lets actually SIGN the player this time before selling
  15. I'd love Villa to come, but I seriously doubt he would, in honesty.
  16. The catering isn't too bad; there are a selection of warm and cold drinks available in the kiosks, and of course your traditional football foods; sausage rolls, burgers, pies, hot dogs... all for a decent price as well. Its in London so of course its more expensive than other grounds, but I think the food isn't too bad at all and the decent prices and quality of the catering at the Bridge far exceeds that of other grounds in the capital, such as the Emirates or even Wembley. There are obviously burger vans around the stadium as well, and if you don't fancy any of that, there's a nice little Marks and Spencers about a mile down the Fulham Road from the ground where they do a rather nice Chicken and Stuffing sandwich
  17. Essien and Mikel tag-team on Hunt sounds appealling.
  18. Would be ridiculous not to offer him a new contract. He's been as good as ever these past few months. His productivity for the club this season from February far excels what he did from February to March in 2006/07, in terms of the goals and assists he has recorded.
  19. Let's consider our cover at the moment; Right back - Bosingwa is evidently first-choice, but Mancienne, Ferreira, Belletti and Ivanovic can all operate there, and Essien too in emergencies. Centre-back - Terry and Alex are first-choice, with Carvalho with them - but injuries have limited him. However, we have cover in Ivanovic and Mancienne, and of course Essien who is so fucking awesome he can play anywhere. Left-back - Ashley Cole is our first-choice LB, but we have both Ferreira and Bertrand as cover, and Bosingwa has proved he can play there as well. So, we have Bosingwa - Alex - Terry - Cole as our first choice option. If Terry or Alex get injured, Carvalho or Ivanovic will most likely fill in. If Bosingwa becomes injured, Ivanovic may play there, or possibly Ferriera or Belletti is Ivanovic is already playing there. At left-back, if Cole becomes injured, we can put Bosingwa on the left and Ivanovic on the right, or simply just play Ferreira or Bertrand. So, what I'm basically saying, is now Ivanovic is staying put, we DO NOT need any more defenders. Zhirkov may come as a LM and therefore offer cover at LB, but I really don't think we need to buy any more defenders. We have a really good mix of quality, experience and youth in every role.
  20. I need new underwear But jokes aside, I think FL8 would be a brilliant manager; he's got the tactical nous it would appear, and he's a bright chap.
  21. Malouda is the sort of player who takes a while to get used to new surroundings. When he joined Lyon in 2003, his form was patchy, and only scored a few games. However, he was given time and care by Houlier, who gave him a run in the side and by the end of the season he was a regular and was playing very well, and that form continued until 2006/07, where he would regularly offer 7 or 8 good performances in a row before maybe the odd game or two where he would fade. In 2006/07, though, he was by some distance OL's outstanding player of the season, and I think now he has truly found his feet at the Bridge, we can all learn to appreciate how good he actually is. He's certainly made Joe Cole's injury seem a lot less of a loss than it could have been.
