  1. Yes because City are a one-man team.
  2. Ivanovic was epic today, has to be said I'm looking for someone to scapegoat, but I can't. However, Costa is beginning to annoy me. Just a pale reflection of Drogba in my honest opinion, who could wind up defenders without having to physically attack them. Don't get me wrong, I love the bloke, but he genuinely seems more interested in playing cheerleader and winding people up than scoring goals.
  3. Emergency loan option may only be executed if there is no more than one fit goalkeeper at the club - with Begovic, Blackman and Beeney, there's no chance of it.
  4. Don't mistake me for one of the people who thinks the sun shines out of Mourinho's arse. But blaming him when the players are performing absolutely abysmally is ridiculous, in my opinion. I'm just amazed there are people on here who want him to leave.
  5. It is okay, because that's what they are. They'll all be kissing his arse again soon. Provided Roman doesn't swing the axe as he is prone to.
  6. We're on a bad run and people want José out? I'd rather all you fickle bastards go instead.
  7. Bego Azpi - Cahill - JT - Baba Mikel - Matic Ramires - Willian - Hazard Falcao
  8. He was unsighted by that useless cunt Ivanovic, and give Naismith some credit, it was a cracking finish, right inside the bottom corner.
  9. Compared to how good David Silva is, I'd say KdB was okay yesterday, but nothing spectacular.
  10. Sorry, all you mid-level management types sound the same
  11. And Fabregas and Costa carried us for the first half of last season, but all three are guilty of lacklustre performances.
  12. On current form he should be warming the bench for both club and country. More interested in hitting the deck and winning fouls at the moment. Yes he starts seasons slowly but Jason is absolutely spot on when he points out that Eden looks devoid of even the one "wow moment" every 90 minutes, which he can normally produce as a minimum.
  13. 1) Fair point on different captaincy styles, but if you look at our most recent former captains - Terry, Desailly, Wise - Luiz doesn't fit the same billing. 2) I have to disagree. Ricardo Carvalho was twice as proactive and didn't make half the mistakes. He is the only defender I've ever seen that made Terry look average. Terry always looked better than Luiz - the difference is Luiz played with Terry at his lowest ebb. Carvalho played alongside JT when he was in his prime and still looked a better player. I agree he is far more proactive than our current defensive options, but right now I think we need to worry about solidarity rather than aggressive defending. 3) Luiz played his DM matches predominantly in the Europa League under Benitez. Mourinho played him there a couple of times because Matic was cup-tied. If he was so suited, he'd still be in our midfield and we'd never have had to sign Fabregas. With all due respect I think you're severely over-hyping an "okay" player. 4) I agree in sentiment, but you have to look at players like Stones and Sterling as investments. If City get eight years out of Sterling, the money they spent will be nothing. Transfer fees are only ever unjustified if you play big money for a short-term option.
  14. Apart from the Bird's Nest at the bottom, the rest of them are soulless bowls. The only "modern" stadium with any atmosphere is the Dragao.
  15. Getting his excuses in early, then. In all seriousness, of course he's never going to match Messi on a goalscoring level. Nobody ever will.
  16. 1) IMO, he was never captain material. Captains needs to take responsibility, not run around playing practical jokes on people and sticking their tongue out for the cameras. 2) Never in his time at Chelsea did he establish himself as "our best CB". He had some outstanding games but if he was as good as you make out, Gary Cahill, who is bang average, wouldn't still be first-choice. 3) He was a square peg in a round hole in the midfield. He did a decent job in one or two games, but other than that, Gary Neville was correct with his Playstation analogy.
  17. People are forgetting we sold him for £50m. For a good, but not exceptional player, you don't turn that money down. Especially when you look how we reinvested it in Costa and Fabregas last summer.
  18. I was thinking Falcao and Remy, as at least the two of them are interested in scoring goals rather than fighting people.
