  1. Hard to stick the ball in the back of the net when the players behind you are the midfield equivalent of a kitchen blender. Some wonderful quality fruits and vegetables being mashed into some putrid shit through stale tactics and burned-out players.
  2. This. Also: Eden Hazard. I don't think he has the stomach to be one of the best. To be a truly brilliant player you need to have a selfish, ruthless streak. I don't think Eden has a nasty bone in his body.
  3. The same logic should be applied to Emenalo as with Mourinho: one poor spell should not overshadow a previously prosperous relationship.
  4. Even Azpi would have got a kicking from Shaqiri on Saturday. By far and away his best performance for Stoke so far.
  5. Okay then read part two of A Storm of Swords
  6. He deserves an incredible amount of criticism based on this season, but it is this kind of disrespect that José certainly does not deserve.
  7. Willian is no more than an 8/10 player, and even when he has an off day (like yesterday for the most part), the fact he is still comfortably our best player is deeply disconcerting.
  8. That was his best showing of the season. He looked hungry. That might be why he's put weight on
  9. From that range and with the strike having sufficient power, I disagree wholeheartedly. Did well to even get a hand to it.
  10. He wasn't even at the game last night and people are holding him accountable
  11. Yet we've also brought some wonderful players in January transfer windows... Anelka, Ivanovic, and more recently Matic.
  12. This image has no bearing on this thread but it's funny. So enjoy.
  13. Move straight on to the fourth book as it is completely different to the TV show. And better.
  14. I thought we were very good in the first half, and okay in the second when they came on quite strong. Pleased with the character we showed to get the win. Shows the togetherness of the team.
  15. Judging from his miss, he's clearly the player who'd rather lose for José than win
  16. Play him at CB then because Terry hasn't been very good at organising, either
  17. He's also scored in two of them and I'd rather my striker be anonymous and score than try and kill people and pose no threat to the opposition 'keeper.
  18. Especially after all of his jibes around Rafa winning it in 2013. Very good point. Might be the only way we would get any serious rotation of the squad to incorporate the youngsters. Speaking hypothetically, if we were to end up in the EL next season, you could field a rotational side including first-teamers like Mikel, Ramires, Begovic, Willian, etc. with some of the youngsters and still be competitive enough to go pretty far.
  19. Not what he's saying. Being a doctor ranks pretty low in the football management hierarchy. In terms of a "valuable job" in the football world, doctors are entirely dispensable. Managers like Mourinho are not.
