We don't need him, United do. Let them overspend on him by £20 million, doesn't bother me in the slightest.
-
Schwarzer - Bertrand, Aké, Zouma, Kalas - Ramires, Mikel, van Ginkel - Piazon, Bamford, Salah. Haha, that was meant to be a pisstake, but that would actually be a feasible side to play in the COC against shit teams like Swindon or Arsenal.
-
Yeah, they would only have scheduled this as soon as they found out about the fixture change. Otherwise there's no way.
-
Fuck off, he looks like him.
-
He is. But he won't be playing for us
-
Anyone who spells his name as Felipe Luiz will be perma-banned.
-
Solanke or BamBam up front, then.

Chelsea FC have today (Wednesday) announced the club have agreed a deal in principal to sign Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis from Atletico de Madrid. An official announcement was posted on their website this afternoon: Luis starred for Atletico under Diego Simeone last season, and has widely been reported to have been identified by José Mourinho as an instant replacement for the departed Ashley Cole. The agreement is still subject to personal terms, but it is highly likely that Filipe will soon be beginning his Blues adventure. The Brazilian will announce his formal departure in a news conference later today: Click here to view the article

Demba Ba has today officially joined Besiktas JK. Though the official Chelsea website has yet to confirm the move, both Ba, on his personal Twitter account, and Besiktas - through their own page on the social media network - have confirmed the transfer. Ba is the latest in a whole host of high profile departures from Stamford Bridge this summer, with the former Hoffenheim, West Ham and Newcastle striker joining Samuel Eto'o, Ashley Cole, David Luiz and Frank Lampard as departing first-team stalwarts. This morning, Besiktas announced on their official site that negotiations over the transfer of Ba were to be concluded imminently, with the Senegalese moving on a permanent basis. Last night, Sky Sports claimed that Besiktas' president Fikret Orman claimed that the clubs had agreed a fee lower than the Blues' initial asking price of £10 million. The reported fee is believed to be closer to £8 million. Ba played 51 times for the Blues, netting fourteen goals and also recording four assists. Of those 51 appearances, only 22 were starts, giving the former Newcastle record an impressive goalscoring return when considering his minutes-to-goals ratio. Against Southampton in the 2012/13 FA Cup, on début, Ba netted twice in a 5-1 romp, whilst the most notable highlight of his time with the Blues was his last-minute goal against Paris St-Germain in this season's Champions League. Also equally memorable is his volleyed winner against Manchester United in March 2013: Ba's departure frees up the number 19 jersey - the favoured shirt number of new arrival Diego Costa. Everyone at TalkChelsea wishes Demba all the best for the future.

Can't help but agree with him on this one though

Go Team Schurrle! :blue scalf:

British tabloid The Daily Mail has today rejuvenated its reputation amongst Blues supporters after tearing Arsenal fans a new one. Adrian Durham, who is very rarely anything other than begrudging towards the success of Chelsea Football Club, has slammed Gooners supporters for claiming Germany's fabulous fourth World Cup win as their own. Writing in Wednesday's edition of the newspaper, Durham was less than complimentary: Further to his four goals, it was Schurrle's breathtaking run past several Argentine defenders that granted Mario Goetze the time and space to execute his wonderful winning goal on Sunday evening - a feat that surpasses anything Per Mertesacker, Mesut Oezil or Lukas Podolski did in the entirety of the tournament. Schurrle's contribution to the Germany cause is representative of the reputation he is carving out for himself at Chelsea. In and out of the team for the most part of the season until that hat-trick at Craven Cottage, Schurrle went on to forge himself a name as a prominent impact player for José Mourinho last season. Those three goals against Fulham represented a coming of age for a player seemingly struggling to adapt to life in England and in the Premier League. Yet he endeavoured to improve, and come the end of the season, he was rewarded with a spell in the side as a reward for his down-to-earth persona. This boy just wants to play football, and is grateful for the opportunity. The refreshing thing about Schurrle is his attitude. Unlike most footballers, Schurrle is in love with the game for the sake of playing it, as opposed to Friday's pay-cheque. Schurrle admitted his willingness to play in any position on the pitch ahead of the Blues' second leg against Paris St-Germain in the Champions League - a game in which he started up front and contributed a vital opening goal. Schurrle has the mindset of a team player, and in an era of there being world-class superstars in every direction at Stamford Bridge, it is perhaps this young man that might have the crucial say come May. Though the arrival of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas may herald a change in formation by Mourinho to a more archetypal 4-3-3, Schurrle's versatility to operate anywhere within the front three, coupled with his frankly heroic work-rate, will make him a powerful player in Chelsea's title tilt. Of course, after an eight-year spell without winning any major trophies - a period bookmarked by two pretty much undeserved FA Cups wins over plucky Hull in May and in 2005, on penalties against a Manchester United side who beat them into submission (albeit without scoring) for 120 minutes, it comes as little surprise Arsenal fans would be so desperate to cling on to any such clam to fame as a World Cup winning triumvirate. Germany won the World Cup, and it was supersub Schurrle who was the team's top goalscorer - but because we're used to success in SW6, no-one is trying to claim the credit for it. Lloris has the advantage of age... Lloris was the first "sweeper keeper" but Neuer beats him all ends up... the same scenario as the English inventing practically inventing every sport under the sun and being shit at them all.

It's a lot of money for a 28 year old... but there aren't exactly many world-class LBs plying their trade at the moment, are there?

Did you watch the game? They humiliated us, could easily have been 6 or 7 if they wanted to. P.S., LOL, we've just signed one of the best strikers in the world and you're more interested in the wording

Chelsea have today completed the signing of Diego Costa on a five-year contract from Atletico Madrid. The Blues posted this on their official website this afternoon: Costa becomes Chelsea's second major signing of the summer after the arrival of fellow Spanish international Cesc Fábregas. The Brazilian-born forward, who netted in Atletico Madrid's stunning 3-1 demolition of the Blues at Stamford Bridge back in April, featured in two of Spain's three World Cup matches, though he failed to score. Indeed, the summer tournament was the only blot on Costa's copybook last season after he netted 36 times in all competitions for his club side. Costa will bolster the Blues' attack and will compete with Fernando Torres to be José Mourinho's primary striker next season, with Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku seemingly on their way out.
