Ok, it looks like we will get him. That's fine for me - especially if the rumours about his buy-out clause are true. He's a proven player in the PL, he's a very good goal scorer and he offers a different option to what Torres can provide. The only thing that worries me are his injuries, but that's not the first time when Chelsea sign a injury prone player. Our medical staff have done fantastic work with Torres for example.

We need José back as soon as possible. Under him we were a serious threat for any team and Stamford Bridge was our Blue Fortress where we were unbeatable. Nowadays many teams aren't afraid of playing at the Bridge. José has given hints of his comeback in some interviews. He will leave R.Madrid at the end of the season, so why not join Chelsea again? We have a lot of young talents and he can have more funds to make the team look like he wants. José, come back!

I don't see him as a striker of our level, and he's a very difficult player to handle for a manager and team-mates. But fortunately I don't believe we're seriously after him, so it's pointless to talk about him.

The problem with Sturridge is that, in my opinion, he's much better as a winger than as a centre forward. After last summer's signings we do have quality on the flanks, but now we need a proper striker to score those important goals. Sturridge has got a few chances to play in the middle, but his attributes doesn't suit that role.

Magnificent performance by Eden yesterday, it was nice to see him playing well again. His start for the season was a lot better than I expected, but then there were many matches that left room for development. But we have to remember that he's still very young and he came here with huge expectations. Many fans of other clubs (especially ManU and City) wish he had failed big time, but all in all he has done good job. He's an exciting player to watch and, yeah, he really does remind me of young Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United in many ways. It's fascinating to see how good he can be in the future.

He's exactly the kind of player I personally respect. His attitude is world class, he doesn't dive, whine or do dirty tricks, he's skillful and creative. His technique is fantastic and he knows how to read the game. There was no problem for him to adopt to the Premier League and he is getting better and better. He may be our next Leader after JT. I just love him. Juan

Interesting stuff, Virus. We don't know the whole truth yet, but Nando's comments during and after the transfer to Chelsea show that everything wasn't OK and he really wanted to left the club he once loved because he was betrayed.
-
He keeps talking about winning trophies and how he's been waiting for "the right opportunity" for a long time. It seems he's very hungry which is - ofcourse - a good thing. It's a difficult task for him to come into this club but I hope he will do well.

This may sound stupid, but he may be the right one for us.

Lewandowski, Falcao or Cavani... nice.

IMO, Terry&Cahill is the best solution. Our mighty Leader is still the best defender in the team. Gary has played well since he joined us and he makes less mistakes than Luiz. Cahill's technique and finishing are also fantastic for a CB.

What I like in Sturridge is that he's always active, he WANTS to score (and many times he is in the right place at the right time to do so), he's fast and he has a good technique. But to become a world-class striker I think he should become better in the air and ofcourse, pass more. But at the moment, I think he's our number 1 striker.

we already miss you, Captain

Totally agree. He's not much better than Torres... Falcao is so much better than them.
-
My starting XI: -----------------Cech------------------- ----Azpi----Iva----Cahill----Cole---- --------Ramires---Mikel-------------- ---Moses-----Oscar-----Hazard---- ----------------Torres------------------ I would maybe start with Torres, but I don't mind if RDM decides to play Sturridge. Mata and Luiz are rested. It's a good chance for Moses to show his skills once again - now in the starting lineup. I'm sure he will do well. I'm a little bit worried about Swansea's counter attacks, because we're missing JT, Iva hasn't played as CB for a while and Azpilicueta is still adopting to the team. I watched Michu last weekend when they played against City and he was in a good form. I hope our defenders put on a good performance today. And ofcourse, Ramires and Mikel need to support them. e: I almost forgot: it would be nice to see Marin on the field today!

JT is a perfect captain, but after him... Wow, it's difficult to say who would it be. I think Mata has all what it takes to be a good leader - he's skillful, leads others by example and is a nice bloke off the field too. It seems he wants to play for Chelsea for many years to come, so why not him?
-
I hope we continue with RDM. He has made fantasic job and I like his style to manage a team. He loves the club and the fans and he has deserved his position.
-
He's the best player in the Premier League at the moment. You just have to love his style of playing - whether you're a Chelsea fan or not.
-
I'm proud of our players. They showed real fighting spirit when we were 2-0 down. I think we would've won without bad refereeing. But as they say, s*** happens sometimes. The most important thing was that we were the better team today - even though we didn't get points from this fixture.
-
OT, but how on earth can someone drop Terry from the best possible starting XI? In my opinion, JT is still easily the best CB we have + he's our captain.
-
I think Mata and Hazard are our best attacking players at the moment. Mata hasn't found his best form yet (due to short holiday, Olympics and EURO2012), but he's improving all the time. Oscar can easily be as good as Eden and Juan, but in my opinion, he can't be compared to them just yet. After Oscar has fully adopted to the new culture and Premier League, he will be a huge player for us.
-
I hate him. We're not going to sign him.

Love it. Welcome Eden!!!!
