Great player. Somehow failed when he made a step up to bigger clubs. Still don't know why. He's irreplacable for Anderlecht at the moment, has a nose for goals, is strong as fuck and a look at his face makes defenders tremble and cower in fear. I'd say not good enough for Chelsea though. He's happy at Chelsea, trust me. Thorgan will never be starter for Chelsea. He's nowhere near the level Eden was at that age. You never know I suppose but I can't see it. I think Thorgan was signed to make Eden feel more at ease, much like the Musonda brothers, where Charly Jr is a far greater talent than the other siblings.

While you often make sensible posts, I think you're way off on this one. For starters, there's no point comparing him to RVP, Aguero and the likes because he's a different kind of player. IF you really want to compare, there's only 1 decent choice, Drogba. As pointed out in previous posts Drogba played in the French second division when he was 19, in 2002 he joined a modest Ligue 1 club for £80.000, a season later joined Marseille for £3.3 million where he impressed so much Chelsea got him, again a season later, for £24million. My point is Drogba didn't show signs of pure class that hinted towards the world class player he'd become. Lukaku was 16 years old when he came into the Anderlecht first squad, and became the topscorer that same first season. That, imho, is a sign of a possibly future world class striker. Even if it's just the Belgian league. Sixteen years old. His flaws are obvious, but seriously, most players his age are working on those flaws in the U19 teams. This guy is already scoring goals in the toughest competition in the world. Strikers peak at 28-31. He has 10 (!) years to reach that level. Cut him some slack.

Not a good performance, but can hardly blame him. Although definately not Chelsea material atm, he can become a very good striker. I rate him higher than Lukaku right now, but both players are so early in their development that can easily change. In fact I suspect Lukaku to become the better striker eventually.

What are you talking about? He's been doing better the last matches after his dip in form. Do you even watch the games? I doubt it. The criticism towards him is really becoming laughable now. Especially from that deluded Brazilian poster called Henrique, who hasn't got 1 good word of praise for the lad. Perhaps you should start to turn your criticism towards Oscar, who has been playing like shit for 75% of the games he played. But he's Brazilian isn't he. While I don't think he's worse then any other attacking Chelsea player right now, except Mata, I understand your worries. Something or someone is affecting his confidence. He's nowhere near the level he played at Lille atm. I urge you to be patient tho. He's a special player. And still a kid, basically.
